Well It's official, 2K Sports don't care about PC anymore. Which is stupid considering we have three people working for them who come from the PC community. Comes out on my birthday too... fuck cheaters and crackers. I'm surprised they're even making the game considering tens of thousands of people crack the game.

Skill groups: Shooting off Dribble, Layups and Dunks, Mid Range Shooting, 3PT Shooting, Post Scoring, Agility, Strength, Rebounding, Playmaking, Defending.
We'll see the base and cap values on selection screen. They differ per archetype.

Layups and Dunks are together, that's nice. Free Throws are probably in mid range shooting? Would be logical I guess.

5 Upgradable Badges for each archetype shown.

Height affects stats. Wingspan affects stats.

I actually got excited and then realized it doesn't say available for download through steam just xbox and playstation stores.

I hope Team USA is not the only national team you can play for.

For the past 3 years I played NBA 2K games on PS4 because my PC was pretty bad. So this summer I purchased very good PC and also brought NBA 2K16 just to "test" how is it, compared to consoles. The difference in graphics is huge, loading is much quicker (for example if you manually edit rosters it in annoying to wait 2,3 second to edit every player) and when you add modding possibilities like new courts, faces, custom sliders in My career,.. it feels like a different game.
Yet 2k Sports absolutely doesnt care for players outside US and/or players who dont play the games on their preferable options. They add Euroleague 2 or 3 years ago yet I could do better job with attributes/rosters in 1 day. Not to mention 80% of players have generic faces.

PC users get the game late, critical patches just to be able to play the game late and all the exclusive content is available only for xbox/ps. And as PeacemanNOT said, the best people they hired came from PC Community.

Well, parity was fun while it lasted.

Literally the only feature I want is to be able to pass to an open man on the 3 and he doesnt step in to a long 2 while the ball is in the air. Then when I try to walk back he does a little shuffle and stays where he was already and now I got a contested long 2

This is essentially a demo and the PC never got a demo before. The face scan on the other hand is their choice to ignore the PC, although that Intel thing could be the reason why.

Well the sad thing is that the PC is excluded from scanning, but I won't be playing as myself, rather I would sculpt it. Plus 2K's horrible face scans. NBA Live did a good job. (I'd rather get the PC version and not worry about the high price)

It looks great, but I'm pretty sure it's just an actual face scan and not from a mobile.

To be fair, most of those "monster" scans were made by NOT following the instructions.

Not necessarily. My Facescan for NBA Live 16 from my iPhone came out almost that good with one try in shit lighting. Too bad the game itself was dick, but I looked fucking awesome in it. Its the PS4 camera that's fucking atrocious. So it is possible if 2k got it right like the NBA live guys did.

That said, yeah I'm more and more glad that I got the $29 cdkeys 2k17 for PC and the real NBA 2k17 on PS4 from Best Buy. $47 with gamers club unlocked. Price of both together was around the price of the Kobe edition.

Sucks that they screw over PC gamers. I have a 5930k and two 980tis and a 65in 4k OLED that I want to play on. With my PS4 its gonna look like garb in comparison to native 4k on my PC. Oh well.

The implication seems to be that they've moved away from having a story similar to last year's, which is great news. Seems like a good way to sample the game before it comes out, on top of getting a head start on your career. Here's hoping that it is the "ultimate sports RPG", and not a confused hybrid as in years past, mixing a few RPG elements with a very defined role and largely superficial choices that have little to no bearing on the story and experience.

Shame it's not going to be available for PC users, but that was the case with the NBA 2K10 Draft Combine as well (which also wasn't available worldwide, for that matter).

Well I'm probably still getting the app to see if it REALLY works

I play on PC, so I will miss out on the Prelude, but it looks incredible. I'm happy for the players on console. Hopefully there are some elements of the Prelude that make their way to the main game, like being able to play on a college team.
