Best Player Builds

Postby JWL3 on Wed Oct 12, 2016 7:33 am

Sorry for starting this thread, but I want to know how I can optimize my player. If you guys have recommendations for the best layup packages, quick unblockable dunks, crossovers, other animations, dribble moves etc., I'd love to hear of it. I'll start:

Best layup package - Steph Curry (they're all practically floaters and very difficult to block)

Best step back sig size up - Steph Curry (creates the most space but also jabs into the defender first, risking a steal)

Best jump shot release - Lamarcus Aldridge edited in shot creator for normal release timing

Behind the back - J Crawford

Cheesy as it may be sometimes, I reckon we rename the thread "Best Player Builds". I reckon it's legitimate enough; if nothing else, I'd say most people who play online are engaging in some kind of min-maxing, and picking the best animations, so we might as well develop our own guides.

Definitely agree with Steph Curry's layup package and size-ups, I've been using them this year and last year for my MyPLAYER. I've also come to really like Ray Allen's jump shot and free throw release.

Best crossover definitely is Elite 2. Almost all elite ballhandlers use Elite 2 crossover.

I definitely do too. At the end of the crossover, it does a little bit of a hesitation and inside-out dribble that confuses the defender. Also is a very wide crossover, covering a lot of distance.

Now I can't remember which Crossover I picked. I'll have to look into that.

Can anyone recommend a shot? My Aldridge really is not working for me. I'm shooting 20% FG in game on anything that's not a layup. And I've upgraded my moving and fixed midrange to about 67.

As I said, Ray Allen's has been pretty smooth for me the past couple of years.

I switched to shot release 70 and it's fantastic. Getting a lot more greens. And even when I don't, a lot of them are going in.
