PeacemanNOT I appreciate your response. Thank you.
TBM I don't know if you're trying to be playfully sarcastic or willfully a jerk (I've noticed you do it often). But these types of responses to other members isn't helpful, nor is it appreciated

Sadly this doesn't work. You'd still have to use the 2K16 Explorer to achieve what you want.

TBM wrote:All credit to this goes to Limnono. This will be supported officially by the 2K16 Explorer in the next version, but since everyone was having issues with importing, I figured we should just post this portion now.

To use it, just drag the extracted contents of the archive into your 2K16 install folder. Then, to install mods, just put the modded iffs inside of the "Modded" folder with the original filename. Files that have the "shared/" prefix go inside the shared folder, and you delete the "shared/" portion of the iff filename. So that's it. No more imports (except for OGGs).

Let the mod packs begin~!

Where is the shared folder? I didn't see one in the NBA2K16 folder. Do you have to create one?

You create it inside the "modded" folder.

I downloaded the plug in unzipped added to the nba 2k file the .dll files are outside the modded folder is this correct? I then downloaded a few faces .iff files and added them to the modded folder but nothing shows up in game is there something I need to fix? oh and I'm using steam not sure if that matters.

It should be working fine. Only thing I see is that you have to fix the filename on the Deron Williams CF.

Works like a charm!
I always wanted to change the Staples Center logo from that odd red to purple.
Thanks TBM.

So... I got really excited, because I have been making progress in my search for moddable content. I was able to locate the bootup splash, and was going to make a bunch of these for people. The problem? The modded or shared folder does not recognize gooeyfrontend.iff... So I can't get it to work in the game... unless I use the dreaded import function in 2k explorer. Here is the splash I created...

This....

would have overwritten this...

Any thoughts? Maybe I am doing something wrong? And I don't need any sarcastic remarks or BS remarks back, I've been working on these files for 5 hours straight (Its 3am here). I was able to find a ton of the 2k logos that are in the game that can be overwritten in order to create a TNT presentation. But, I don't want people to have to attempt to use the import function in 2k explorer, if they can get it done by using the modded folder.

The other part I don't get... so gooeyfrontend.iff and global.iff don't open with iff editor in 2k explorer... which is fine. But the Modded folder seems to recognize Kevins Global (can see the change in the sweat streaks that he made), but the modded folder isn't recognizing gooeyfrontend.iff?

Maybe I'm dillusional and Kevins Global isn't working... I don't know anymore...

Here is the problem:

So, bootup splash within gooeyfrontend.iff seems like the logical file to replace. I mean, look at the screenshot above, it IS the bootup. However, when I replace that file (it didn't work importing it in 2K explorer either), or place in the modded folder, nothing changes.

So either:

A: That is NOT the right file to replace... even though it seems obvious
B: It is the right file to replace, but another file goes along with it... which I can't find

I think having a new title page would be awesome, I would make a ton of them. However, I'm at a loss right now.

I'll let you know if I make any progress.
