Draft Class Guide & Formulas Project

After a year's absence, I returned to play the nba 2k. As some know I made some draft classes for NBA 2K13 and NBA 2K14. I have a very slow internet and i don't have to much time to do the draft classes now. So i want to help does that are doing it and maybe they can help me later.... I made some formulas based on the 2K formulas but this are for the draft classes and to me this can help giving more realistic attributes to the Prospects and improve the game experience. So let me show you some of my Formulas.

Strength of each Type draft by Ratings

Not every draft is equal, you can see the difference between a very strong draft like 2009 or 2003 and the infamous 2013 draft. So I divided the strength of them in three different categories…

Strong Draft Class
--->75-78 = Top 5 draft picks
--->71-74 = Lottery Picks
--->69-71 = Mid Late 1st Round Picks
--->67-69 = 2nd Round Picks
--->65-66 = Probable Undrafted

Average Draft Class
--->74-76 = Top 5 draft picks
--->70-73 = Lottery Picks
--->68-70 = Mid Late 1st Round Picks
--->66-68 = 2nd Round Picks
--->65-65 = Probable Undrafted

Weak Draft Class
--->73-75 = Top 5 draft picks
--->70-72 = Lottery Picks
--->67-70 = Mid Late 1st Round Picks
--->66-67 = 2nd Round Picks
--->64-65 = Probable Undrafted

If I may just throw a few rating change suggestions in there for you. I think probable undrafted should more match up with ratings of Euroleague role players. Meaning mid 50's to mid 60's. There are plenty of real Euroleague prospects in the game rated in the high 50's.

Also for the passing stats I would consider dropping each category 5 points. In order to give the prospects room to grow and not overrated them as compared to NBA players.

For example Louis Williams has a Passing Vision rating of 53. If he played in college or abroad he might average 10 assists per 40 given the level of competition. I think PG who has poor passing vision should be allowed to be rated in the low 50's as well to keep them inline with NBA players who would kill on the lower levels of competition.

The lowest NBA Rating from the Drafted and undrafted prospects in the Game is 64... The Euroleague prospects Rating have nothing to do with the Draft becouse 2K did even do the correct ratings to Them.... If you pay attention even undrafted guys like Maurice Ndour, Christian Wood, Cliff Alexander, Robert Upshaw who were undrafted are all above 65.

I analyzed Passing Vision Rating and it is differently Rated for each Positions. The averages in game for each positions are:
PG :arrow: 78
SG :arrow: 53
SF :arrow: 48
PF :arrow: 44
C :arrow: 42

Louis Williams is a SG and has a Passing Vision rating of 53 but take a good look at the Real point Guards and you can See guys like J.J. Barea, Devin Harris that are not passing Wizards above 70... And the top PG's from 2015 draft are above 75... D'Angelo Russell had the best passing vision in the NCCA last year and is rated 78 in game. Jerian Grant, Cameron Payne, Tyus Jones, Emmanuel Mudiay are all above 70.
Most of SG's and SF's from last years draft are not above 55 in this category...Centers and Power Fowards are not above 50 so i did this:

The Passing IQ and Passing Accuracy formulas are fine to me...

If i Take some of Draft Prospects from last year i Can Have the Following Results in those categories:

D'Angelo Russell :arrow: 75 Passing Vision, 70 Passing IQ, 70 Passing Accuracy
Cameron Payne :arrow: 70 Passing Vision, 70 Passing IQ, 80 Passing Accuracy
Tyus Jones :arrow: 70 Passing Vision, 75 Passing IQ, 66 Passing Accuracy
Jerian Grant :arrow: 70 Passing Vision, 70 Passing IQ, 73 Passing Accuracy

dwayne12345 form Operation Sports Forum:
I figured out the in game wingspan formula and how it correlates with the number already.

0 = 6 inches less than your height
10 = 4 inches less than your height
20 = 2 inches less than your height
30 = wingspan equal to your height
40 = wingspan 2 inches more than your height
50 = winspan 4 inches more than your height
60 = 6 inches more
70 = 8 inches more
80 = 10 inches more
90 = 1 foot more
100 = 1'2" more

I was late to 2K16 so I never got to see this thread. Great work on the formulas and with the research
