Croke's Shoe Tweaks (Jordan IV / Jordan V Released)

What's up guys!

It's time to give back to the comunity after many years lurking around.

I don't know how to do faces or jerseys and we have so many great modders working on that, so I'll stick to shoes. I'll be doing basic stuff, such as changing a few layers so we can create real colorways, and I'm open to suggestions and requests. I'll go slow, since I don't have too much time, but I'll try to keep it going.

What's wrong with just using nVidia texture tools?

I think the texture of the leather should be more intense.

Yep, it's nvidia. What do you mean by more intense? I didn't know you could lose quality using the nvidia plug-in.

It could be that I didn't change materials, lol. It was pretty late. This is using leather, and black instead of dark grey.


And this is ingame. It looks like it loses the leather toe. AFAIK, this happens with other shoes. It doesn't save materials. Could be totally my fault, though. I probably did a lot of things wrong, lol

Things to keep in mind:
- outsole accent = heel
- midsole = outsole accent + midsole
- straps accent = toe
- buckle = bounce + 773 details

I mean, whether the reflection of the leather should be more intense. And Normal map tool ----- PixPlant3 Will make your map normal better, you can try. Later I PM you

I still don't know how to change maps correctly. That's why the right heel looks bad. If anyone can share some light, I'm here to learn... The last pic is just to show you the possibilities. Every layer has a different color, so you can recognice it better.

Give me some feedback, please. I want to get better at this, and I'm having a blast so far.

So when the time comes that you release these shoes, how will we use them in-game? Will they be under the 2k created shoes or will they be with the rest of the shoes that are in the game already? And will we be able to customize each shoe colorway for different players? Just wondering bro. By the way the shoes look amaaaaaazing! You can try with with the Rose 773 IV. They work the same as a default shoe. You can customize each layer and make the colorways you like and then assign them to the players you want. You can assign the default model too, but I do not recommend this. I still haven't figured out what determines the team colors of each layer, and it would probably look wrong.

If you guys can live with the bad map on the Kobe X, I can release this version right now.

I'm looking at the AJ11's andreis. We can do most colorways with what 2k gave us. I can do some tweaks, but I need some directions. Tell me what you want to be able to do, and I'll try.

I don't know if that is it's name, but since I have to save them as normal maps in Photoshop, I've figured they're maps,

I'm completely new to this level of modding. The only thing I did in the past was change some textures. What are these things called?

Yeah, those are normal maps. They shouldn't effect the color, though. All they do is give the model are more textured look with how lighting hits it.

That's what I figured this morning. The right shoe in the Kobe X now has the Kobe logo, but the map shows something else, and it should be plain
