that actually happens to me occasionally when I "rip" the ball from a really strong guy. when he crosses over, i stick my hand out and stop him from crossing over but i slightly hyperextend my elbow in the process... would something like this help?

It's been around before most of us here were born but it was used for injury recovery instead of injury prevention.
The arm sleeves probably started when some genius thought that a compression sleeve for the leg might work as well a compression sleeve for the arm.
The arm sleeve might be new but the concept of its use isn't.
