Like Taker, it's definitely a rather drastic change from the look he had for so many years.

Cole calling Cena's crossface an STF is almost as bad as calling Punk lying on the ground the Anaconda Vise (which he did at MITB 2011).

And that hurricanrana was awful. Suggestions on Twitter so far that it should be included in WWE 14 and either crash the game automatically, or be the only move that damages you more than it does your opponent.

I thought Cena was really using the STF?

Most of the time. He had the STF on, Punk countered into the Vise, then Cena countered into a crossface, to which Cole said he'd "countered back into the STF".

Cena had the STF locked in, Punk reversed it into the Anaconda Vise, Cena then reversed that into a Crossface, which was called an STF by Cole. That was in the middle of the match.

edit: welp, just came short

WWE actually put the Cena/Punk match in their Youtube channel.

Sad news, far too young at 58. No further details as yet but with his weight and whatnot, he did have some health issues over the years. One would assume his untimely passing likely has some connection to that. RIP.

Bearer was only 58? He looked so much older already in the late 90s and early 00s. Maybe because it was the makeup they plastered on him to make him look creepy. But anyways. Sad news.

His makeup, weight and the fact he'd been in the business for such a long time certainly contribute to that notion. I thought he was at least in his early 60s and probably closer to 65, before seeing his age reported in announcements of his passing.

So TNA's Lockdown was pretty damn decent. X Division match was insane, but dat ending.

So mid match Hardy vs Bully two of the Aces & Eights come out and try to interfere, Bully and Hardy team up and kick their asses out of the cage but did all honor code and didn't try to win there. They restart the match (which was good quality as well) and a few minutes later all of the Aces & Eights come out. Bully gives Hardy a chain, and get ready to take them all on. D-Von enters the cage, has waaay too much difficulty taking that ball pin hammer out of his pants, gives it to Bully who lights up Hardy.

New champ, leader/president of Aces & Eights revealed, nasty heel promo from Bully vs the Hogans, making all this unbearable face turn stuff worth it and come full circle as he was using them for the title shot.

They could very easily keep this up by letting 3D take on the tag champs, which would bring the 3 major titles to the Aces & Eights. Either way, just by having Bully be in there, they now have someone on the mic that instigated trash being thrown into the ring in San Antonio, not the Impact Zone, "strangers" to the brand.

This shit just got good again.

Really? I had that down as the overly predictable ending that would render the entire thing completely pointless. As did a lot of other people, from the look of it.

Well, this week they are doing all these videos of Bully explaining the past however many months piece by piece, tying it all together and really making the whole angle worth it IMO. Friggin awesome

so....they've taken that Paul Bearer angle a bit far

but lawrdy, don't hit him in the head with that urn.

I have no hype for WM this year. May as well go through the matches now....

-=Tons of Funk & Funkadactyls vs. Rhodes Scholars & Bella Twins=-
Yay, dancing n stuff. Faces win.

-=Wade Barrett (c) vs. The Miz (Intercontinental championship)=-
Miz, but I know nothing of this feud.

-=Chris Jericho vs. Fandango=-
Gotta get this guy over while Y2J is around. Goo win.

-=The Shield vs. Randy Orton, Sheamus, Big Show=-
I really hope The Shield wins. That TLC match was insane, I just hope this is to the same physical caliber.

-=Mark Henry vs. Ryback=-
Ryback, Henry's had his run.

-=Team Hell No (c) vs. Dolph Ziggler and Big E. Langston =-
It would be awesome to see Ziggler win and cash in as well. Finally get him legitimized.

-=Alberto Del Rio (c) vs. Jack Swagger=-
So let Swagz win then cashed in on...but Rio will win.

-=Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar=-
Trips because he'll be around longer than Brock. This is my pick for match of the night though.

-=Undertaker vs. CM Punk=-
Watching the above pretty much cements it. They are going to bury Punk so hard.

-=The Rock (c) vs. John Cena (WWE championship)=-
Yay for Cena redemption and thrice in a lifetime next year.

Ferrealz....I don't know if I'm spending too much time on the dirt sites or enjoying TNA too much, but this is just....meh.

I gotta agree here too. It is pretty meh. One of the worst buildups I have seen for a WM ever. I myself have been enjoying NJPW :D

Punk would probably be buried, But I did hear rumors of Punk taking time off because he is pretty banged up. Perhaps this match might write him off temporarily until he's fully healed.

A loss will hardly "bury" Punk. The guy's not too far removed from a 434 WWE Championship reign and it won't be a squash match. Since he is rumoured to be needing some time off, a physical match that is competitive but ultimately ends with him getting his ass kicked - exactly what should happen to the heel in a feud like this - will be a convenient way of writing him off television for a while.
