New York Knicks font...

Guys, I'm trying to find this font's name:

I'm not able to locate it just by using Google and my tiny little brain. Maybe somebody out there knows the name of this font already. Any help would be appreciated...

I saw this site earlier and there's no "NYK font". Those fonts are pretty similar to what I'm looking for but that's not the thing. Anyway, thanks for your help.

True, "Allstar" is extremely similar, it's almost the thing. But it's not exactly the font NYK are using. Just look at the "R" letter.
But, yeah, right now I'm using "Allstar" with some vector modifications as an alternative. Still, I would like to find that damn NYK font, especially the version they use for names on the back side of jerseys.

So very true...
If don't have what you like you should like what you have, isn't it? :D

But I was thinking and I got to a conclusion that it would be good to have a sticky topic in "Photoshop lounge" with teams fonts' names and samples. I think that it would be a great deal of help for many patchers out there...

I'll try to make the long story short... :)

I'm living in Poland and, although NBA is very popular here, we don't have any NBA stores. So it's almost impossible to get NBA jerseys or t-shirts in Poland and even if one's able to find such a thing most of the time the desing sucks big time (you know, horrible quality and not the best placement of logos and letterings on the t-shirt). So I decided to make few t-shirts by myself. I know it's not quite legal (NBA logos and lettering are copyrighted) but I'm doing this just for myself and I'm not going to sell it. Besides, I have no choice because David Stern and whole NBA organisation are not selling their product too well in Eastern Europe - no official stores, no NBA on TV (because NBA wants huge money from European countries for the rights to broadcast games) and the prices at NBAstore.com are way too high for Europeans (because of the delivery fee).

So, that's it. That's what I need this font for...

I don't think you can find it on the internet, it's most probably a commercial font that's custom made for the New York Knicks.

You should remake it in Illustrator then, that way you can make it really big and still look good (for on a jersey, t-shirt, etc.)

Yep, that's what I did - I created a vector copy of letters in Illustrator. :)

Yep, I think so too. I guess it's an old font created for Knicks a long time ago by some designer, I was just hoping that somebody somewhere recreated it in TrueType form. :)

No way!
I did that "5" all by myself, from scratch, a long time ago...
