Quite likely, though Fallout Boy has already been taken.
Mod Flanders Conspiracy is already taken too. :D
Well, they split up actually...

How about a tribute to the old Sea Captain: "McCallister's Navy". And of course, their hit single...

@ Joakim_Noah13: Haha, The hairy combs was my gf's favourite too. You can have it. I don't want it.

I'll let ya know next time we play in the city. Apparently we got a contact that said he can get us a gig at the ESPY in the front room on like a Tuesday or Wednesday night. :o That would be sweet. We play at Ruby's Lounge ( www.rubyslounge.com.au ) a lot, but that's probably a big hike for you.

@ Andrew: Mess Transit ain't bad. I'm gonna put that on my list.

@ Laxation: Bloody hell you guys. Get your own names. I can't imagine us using Mystery train, so you can use that.

@ dramacydal: hmm, now that you mention it, i kinda like Sour Smoke too now. Hmm.

@ DoobieKnicks: Haha, not bad. Probably a tad negative for my liking, but i appreciate the suggestions.

Anyway, i'm pretty set on using "Hail of Contraband". I love that name. I put it forward to some peeps last night and saw what they think. I'm dead set on using it. I just have to convince the bandmates to want it too. For me it has adventurous sorta connotations, and that's fitting with how i'd like the band to be portrayed. It's pretty cool too that it's a lyrical reference from one of my favourite songs of one of my favourite bands ('Invalid Litter Dept.' by At The Drive-In, for those of you playing at home).

These are probably my favourites so far:
One Armed Scissor

(The) Mess Array*

Trips

At The Hop*

Loco

Hail Of Contraband*

Antics Of Swoon

(The) Mess Order

Sour Smoke

* - personal stand-out favs

Which ones do you guys like out of these select few?

I'd pick (the) Mess Array and Hail of Contraband.

Just heard the songs from your band's MySpace, they sound great IMO. Well, except the singing in Milk Slum. But great job on the live recording, you guys done it clean.

Well, Lean, i can only pick one, ya know. :P It's interesting, The Mess Array stood out to a friend of mine when i sent him the same list. He likes it over Hail of Contraband. What do others think?

And thanks for the compliments! Milk Slum is okay. I mixed/mastered it though, and there's heaps of things about it i'd do differently if i did it again, so i kinda get annoyed when i listen to it haha. But it's so much fun to play live. (Especially on drums  )

I like Hail of Contraband. Seems better suited for a death metal band though, or something depressing...

Hey Nick, congrats on the record! I just listened to Auto Pilot and it's a pretty awesome song, make sure to add the new version on Myspace once the record's done.

As far as names go, I'm gonna go and re-propose Finding Waldo and Wattershed (FF reference.) Off the ones on the list, though, Sour Smoke's clearly the best.

Out of all the ones mentioned so far, I'm partial to At The Hop. It's suitably random and unique without being too random.

Well now i just downright don't know what to choose.

@ DrGonzo: There's a pun?

And thanks! It's encouraging to hear stuff like that.

@ Joe: Thanks man, will do. Sour SMoke ey? Hmm, well, before i was set on Hail of Contraband, but now i'm not so sure. Hmm.

@el badman: I don't like Ether binge too much. Sounds like an obnoxious cock-rock band for me.
