Why paste it to a new canvas.

Here's exactly what I did to Shawn Marion.

Increase resolution to double. Then I did all the pen tool stuff (a lot of curving), close it off, make selection with feather of 1 pixel. Inverse selection and delete background. Then re-size it back down. I don't know what you're doing with your contracting the selection, but it isn't neccessary.

I played around with the text effects, and I came up with this, how does it look?

It looks like somebody shit in their cereal.

I made this really quick, pretty simple I think.

Why did you cover the Arenas text I can only see 30% of the text and I can tell that the text doesn't fit

Yeah you have free space on the right but you optioned to put the text where it can't be seen.

Or you could crop the emptiness on the right and put Gilbert Arenas above the dribbling arm

I think that I should put "Gilbert" above his left arm, and "Arenas" at the bottom right.

You don't save work with real photos in there as .gif, it messes up the quality.
jpg: for stuff with real-life pics in it
gif: for the more basic stuff and no real pics and/or transparency
png: for the 'jpg kind of stuff' with transparency

Just don't put any text in it period.

I think Gilbert looks way too dark. I don't know whether you've used a hard light or something, but try something softer. Also, if you're going to have him as dark as the background, having the text stand out so much (white/drop shadow) draws way too much attention away from the main part of the sig.

Arenas is too dark, backround needs more flow, text is way too huge, plus there isn't a border.

This sig isn't that good...You can do much better..The text is just..bad! Also, Kobe looks too dark.

Well that was the point, O well, it didn't work, but I am so hillariated(SP? Or is it even a word??) by the comparison of this forum to mixmakers, on M2, the people are like this "OMG DAT SIG L33T Pwner 10/10 10/10" And on this forum, it's the opposite, which is why I rely more on advice from you guys than M2 .
