If she ends up needing it theres about 900 inspirational videos of people without legs ;)

I plug my TV's cable directly into the wall, no cable box, so after searching for digital channels I got NESN, ESPN, ESPN2, local channels, and a handful of other channels in HD, some in 1080i. I even got NHL Center Ice for free.

Woke up this morning and now everything is scrambled :(

I hate my uncle's wife, she lives in Canada and I must say she is quite rich and have some political power here in our town. The thing is after she lend us some money she started to talk bad stuff about our family. She keep on telling that our family can't live without her. Sure we borrowed a big amount of money from but it is the first time.

I swear that if I earn more money than her I'm gonna slap the money we owned to her face.

Just got my spot for the 4x100 meter relay taken away after the kid who I subbed in for 2 weeks decided to come for the districts. Man, I'm usually fine about a guy coming back to help our team, but not after the guy missed two weeks of Track Practice, and wanted to fight me for "taking" his spot. Hopefully I have my 4x200 spot, but I'm expecting that's gone too.

Your coach is shit for allowing that. You don't reward missing practice or that kind of behavior. Other kid should be kicked from the team.

But then again: is he some star athlete who wins everything? Thats probably all that matters *sarcasm*

No he actually isn't. He just is maybe .5 seconds faster than me. Makes me mad that a guy who's in Tacoma while I'm practicing get's the spot I've been warming up for him. Bull.

I was an alternate, but tookover his spot after he went to freaking Tacoma for two weeks, then didn't show up for practice even when he was at school. Great.

I reiterate: your coach is still shit. and I hate to tell you this bud but .5 seconds? Thats the world in 100/200. Sorry, those used to be my Paralympic events. Half a second is the difference between 1st and last sometimes.

Time for my steam:

I fucking hate studying the holocaust. Maybe i'm a bad jew for this but i've heard this story a few times before reaching my ripe old age of 24. It never changes. The stories are always told from 1 of 3 points of view from that era. 1) Jews in camps/ghettos in Europe 2)a reformed Nazi trying to make sense of his world 3) Japanese American stuck into a camp. I'm not saying the shit wasnt horrific, im not saying it needs to be forgotten or denying it happened. But we've beat the dead jews long enough. We all know it happened. Why do we act like studying it is going to put an end to hatred and prevent it from happening? Genocides are occuring as I write this. Humans will always find reasons to hate and kill one another. Just do our damnedest to not do it ourselves k? Gah. Stupidest part: we're reading 5 books this semester for this class (social studies for the child) and 2 of them are world war 2...other stuff happened in american history thats way more relevant folks :wall:

I dont mind studying it when its done well: Life Is Beautiful and Paperclips are great flicks. Yellow Star (jew in polish ghetto told in free verse poetry) was a great read. But give me something different "we were there, shitty stuff happened. NEVAR AGAIN!!!"

yeah man we had a whole month of holocaust stuff in 8th grade and we read anne frank & weisel's works, then went to the museum of tolerance in LA which is like 45 mins away. not to mention fiddler on the roof was the musical drama club performed that year and we had an assembly with one of my friend's grandmothers who is a survivor. oh and schinder's list made a long movie on the subject. i gotta say it all was a bit much.
