oh yeah tten that makes complete sense. i don't know of any high schools that start a new semester after winter break. they would have to start at the beginning of august to get enough school days in. you guys need to suck it up. high school is easy.

Here in Houston we have finals in mid-December before Christmas break. We start the second semester this Wednesday ( :x ), and first semester starts near the end of August. Second semester ends beginning of June. So yeah, completely different from you guys.

Lol, yeah. I slack off a lot, and still manage to get straight A's and B's, while being in above-average classes. (Y)

I turned on my old computer for the first time in over a week to play a game of Live 2003 (LIve 2003 doesn't work on my win7) and the computer tells me it's 1:05 am on September 17, 2003. Also my sound won't play.

WHAT GIVES!?

My IP was banned here yesterday because of :pirate:

Guess it has something to do with the IPs in the Philippines.

The bigger problem was my computer's clock backtracking seven years. The biggest problem was the sound not playing. At all. iTunes didn't work either, it wasn't a Live problem.

ZanShadow is right about the clock not being up to date. You need to replace the CMOS battery. Its not big of a deal if the clock is inaccurate unless you have some applications that are 'time specific' to function.

For the sound, is it integrated in the mobo or a card? Either way, check if some wires inside came loose. Also check if it's the speakers that are eff upped and not the sound card/chip. Its probably the sound card/chip itself since iTunes won't work.

It's a Windows XP desktop my parents bought way back in 2003 /early 2004.

I fixed the sound problem, just rebooted it and it worked again. As for the time, I'll probably just go to set time/date on the taskbar menu and change it myself, but I wouldn't mind knowing what actually happened. :?:
