AWHHHHWHWHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
FUCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK FUCKKKK FUCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK
SORRY GUYS, but I just can't stand still right now. I ended up kicking my tenants out on the very next day they moved in since we couldn't agree on the price(they refused to stay with the term that was done through the phone, and it made me uncomfortable about them being so Scourge like), and hilarious and upsetting that they called their friends who started to threaten me. I didn't really react to it, and just turned around, thinking that it wasn't worth it, but now, I feel fucking bad... It's not like I shouda have kicked their asses at that moment(which I probably couldn't against 3 big guys), and I do believe I am grown out of it, but I just feel something wasn't done right for that very situation. Honestly, I am thinking that if the incident didn't take at my very own home, I wouldn't have just walked away.
WHAT MOTHERFxxXXX!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like you did the right thing. If they're the type of people who refuse the terms set forth by the landlord and then get their friends to try and threaten them, they are not people you want to associate or do business with.

Allow the tenants to stay. Leave a decapitated bloody horse head on their bed. They will get the message when they wake up.

It was sort of hard to swallow since I thought they'd be thinking I copped out cowardly. Being in 20th and healthy(lil outta shape now tho), you just don't want to back down sometimes, especially from that kind of situation where the guy is in your face trying to scare you. Rofl... For a minute, I was hoping he'd throw a punch at me so I could just take him out in self defense.
After all this, I learned one thing, that you sorta have to be a dick as a landlord. No wonder the landlords I met were usually bitches. Anyways, if I ever run into the guy who wanted a piece of me, I actually hope to run into him. I will update a story if that ever happens. Should be a fun story.

How did you become a landlord without realizing that most tenants are people you never want to rent to?
I mean I don't do crap because I hate living that way. But everyone else I know seems to run their place into the ground then bail to another one. I lived with lots of people and I'm still the only person who did dishes for the sake of having them clean instead of out of need for example.
And really all these instances aren't something a cleaning crew couldn't seem like new for the next tenant. Other people I've visited? Should just tear down the place and start over.
Reminds me of something a few years ago, they were doing inspections of apartments, and two of us were actually there that summer, so the landlord came and was like "anything we should know about?" and we instantly just told about some random stain and some chip on a wall because we didn't even think to hide it. And then they went and just glanced around the floors and were like "okay" and left after a couple minutes. While spending plenty of time investigating every inch of the rest in our building. So we wound up with a "waiver" on "disclosed damage" for half the stuff in the apartment (even things we didn't really know about) while everyone else in the building was charged fully for any slight thing.
Still not sure how you're a landlord without some kind of secret enforcement. Half the landlords I've had are nice ladies who I'm sure would send a SWAT team to rough me up in the night if I was being a dick. Others didn't care about anything really.

I gotta admit that I hate being a landlord, but oh well... I don't work right now and don't even plan to, untill I finish school, so every bit helps. I'm pretty much living off the rent + dividends from the stocks right now and it's really really tight. Probably selling off the stocks to finish the school too. Thinking about money has been a real stress lately...

Plus, half the rent goes to the mortgage.

Life is just hard to keep up right now.

Really, I could use something like that. Would make a life whole lot easier just like Visa card.

Jackal's available for the right price though it's a different 'roughing up' that he's capable of...it does involve the word 'dick'...

What's that benji?
Let me clarify my heat above so you guys can actually give me some advice. This morning I got into a heated argument with one of my friends. He brought up politics, which is the main problem in Thailand right now. Obviously our politic views are opposite to each other but we were only exchanging opinions until he asked a really dumb question. I gave him my honest answer (in which everybody would answer the same way as I did) but then he got really arrogant and started arguing against everything I said, yelling at me.

Him arguing against everything I said is completely acceptable for me because we were exchanging opinions and views anyway, but what got into me was the fact that he's really arrogant and would not listen to other sides of the argument. I dont really care if he'll continue bitching, but maybe you guys can help me on how to prevent this sort of problem in the future?
Sun Apr 11, 2010 7:55 pm
Avoiding that topic is pretty much the only surefire way to avoid the resulting argument. It's one of those things people tend to feel strongly and get defensive about, to the point where it's difficult to have a reasonable conversation about it. If your friend can't talk politics without becoming insufferable company, best not to talk politics.
Sun Apr 11, 2010 7:57 pm
Thanks Andrew, I always try to avoid politics and religions, but this time he brought it up and I was constantly trying to change the topic but he kept going on.

From now on I'll be more careful whenever we have conversations.

Kill him. Or if you want the Jackal way, rape him.

The solutions you offered are quite hard to choose from. Any alternatives shadow?

Tell me what the debate is about. That's your alternative.

greatness of shadowgrin. I am feeling better already.
You are nearing Joel Anthony in terms of greatness btw. Keep it up.

It was about the red shirt and the government here in Thailand. Dont worry about it benji, I think I'll never get into this sort of debate with him anymore.

Follow benji's advice, unless you want to end up like Oznogrd.

The weird thing was, before we went down one of the guys said "look at him, strutting around showing off his legwork, one of these days he's going to get what's coming to him."
Little did we know.
Little did we know...

Don't forget that he also had exquisite taste for fine handcrafted shoes.
Didn't he always bought a unique pair in the countries that you went to for your missions?
He did forgot to buy a pair just before the team went to execute that last mission. No one knew that it would be a bad omen...

Played 2 online pick up games in NBA 2K10. Kept crashing to the startup screen of the game. Both games went past the 1st half, the 1st one was still ok up to the fourth Q, while the other lasted up to the third Q.
If it's a bug or unstable connection, no biggie. But if the opponent purposely disconnected because they think I'm a fucking cheeser, fuck them.
