We lost our basketball grand final last night. Going into second half, we trailed by 6 but other team went on a scoring run to start the second half. At beginning fourth quarter, I had 2 jumpers to cut the lead to 8 points but we never got any closer. One of the bench guys wanted to sub me off at the start of the 4th so I could play the tail-end of the quarter but I told him to let me go on for another 2 minutes to see if we could get on some kind of run to get back into it and he took my words literally and took me off (at the 8 minute mark) as we were starting to have some kind of semblence of a comeback. (N) You win some and lose some I guess. Better luck next season when we play against The X. :)

Sorry to hear it Sit, but congrats again on making the grand final all the same. There's always next season. :)

Whats the point of putting an Autosave feature in a game, if it only saves at 2 hour intervals? I was really getting into Bioshock 2, but having to re-do an entire level because of the atrocious save system just kills it.

So yeah...to follow it up. It seems like she was joking (for the most part I guess)...things are still going about normally and stuff but there's a slight sense of tension/awkwardness (or maybe I'm tripping out due to painkillers; been taking those lately). I'm slowly starting to not give a damn about what she does, which is a good sign since I'm trying to just forget and get over her. A little bit of pleasantries compared to how screwed my mind has been the last few months (school, life, random bs).

It has a quick save function. So if you want to blaim anything, blaim yourself.

WHAT THE FUCK is with police handing out fucking jay walking tickets?
Thing on the news just now they blitzed geelong handing out nearly 100 jaywalking tickets to people not obeying the street signs, not waiting for the little green man.

This is fucking geelong, not a safe place to go at night time, and they waste their fucking manhours on this piece of shit? What the fuck are the police trying to do? Make people HATE THEM even more?

This is the worst display of bullshittery ive ever seen. And Ive watched Varejao flop.

I'm on my way out from where I teach. I intend to apply to other companies as a programmer or a graphic artist but seeing the next few weeks as a bum, damn I need to speed up and get hired. I vowed not to return to that school as an employee because they're getting two employees for the price of one in me -- a teacher and an unpaid graphic artist -- that's too much.

I'd go try my luck in some local TV station.

Hope it works out for you Lean, I can certainly relate to that kind of professional dissatisfaction (which is fortunately long behind me).

Yeah I really have to go with it, since I already said "no" for a contract this summer (and it also includes the following semester on June). They offered summer training to which I signed "yes" but upon learning of the service-rendering part for the next semester, I declined.

Yes the fun part of the job is really fun. Those folks over there are really great guys -- though some staff members seem to degrade us faculty members, and they also get more benefits than us teachers, too. And the students who actually give a damn about anything I say in class, I'll miss them.

I hear Solar Sports/channel are looking for some graphic artists. That can be your springboard to the big two channels (2 and 7).

I have sent a modified resume (actually a JPEG file with a blue scheme and vectored stuff) to both Solar and TV5, hope they shed some light. :(

I actually included those skills in my resume. If I get in I can either be a programmer/graphic artist/computer technician/systems analyst/record filer. :|

I know someone who once worked on Solar Sports that did some pranks with the graphics for the schedule of broadcasts. They changed the graphic of LA Lakers to LA Lopez (pinoys know that kid), and for the Pacquiao-Diaz fight made it into Manny Pacquito Diaz. The boss noticed it eventually after a few days of the schedules being shown, but no one got sacked because no one admitted to it.
