Not really steam since it's more amusing than anything, but the guy downstairs had a party with all his strange Southeastern Asian friends (he's Irish or something but they're all SE Asians) and then about 3am he started blasting music louder than when people were there and started yelling or something.

Now he's blasting Poker Face and I'm assuming the yelling is him signing along. Like everyone else he only knows the chorus.

I can steam about him not playing the best Gaga songs. And how I keep typing Steam instead of steam. Gabe is fat.

Was just in a taxi, used the Shazzam app on my iphone to figure out what song he was playing. It was Gori Diyan Jhangran by Prakash Kaur

My hotmail account was sending out spam without me knowing the past 2 days. Checked my sent folder, and it was in fact coming from my account. Changed my password the spam sending seems to have stopped. Also ran a virus & malware scan in case and couldn't exactly find much. Earlier today I received an email saying I requested to change my password again, which was not my own request. Probably proof that someone indeed was screwing around with it. Ugh. Hope that's settled.

Also, what kind of damn professor completely blocks herself out from her students about asking for help regarding an assignment. Assignment was assigned 2 weeks ago, and people were confused by it. Emails were sent to her asking for help. Last week she comes in and says "I'm gonna go through the assignment one more time, ask your questions now because I will never be answering any more questions for the assignment including emails because I feel the instructions are more than clear enough." Then when she's answering questions, she keeps reinterating "I don't know why you can't get that, it's on the page." WTF? You're getting paid to help us and answer our questions, it's part of your job.

She's a professor, her job is to do research, as punishment for that she's required to lecture to kids and tell them to do things.

I think you can always submit a legit complaint on that professor to the board. That is if more of your fellow students agree with you. Maybe she was clear enough to many students.

Pretty much everyone was pissed out of their mind after this happened.

dare, I'm not necessarily retiring, and if I am, I'm coming back with something better. (Sit and -hova likely will be back soon as well)

Speaking of cold, here in Canada was supposed to be cold as usual, but it doesn't seem to be that case very conveniently just when winter Olympics is supposed to be held.

Re: The Letting Off Steam Thread

Wed Jan 27, 2010 11:29 pm

Speaking of the Winter Olympics, what's with Channel Nine promising to show 'every Australian medal' as if that's not going to tally about thirty seconds of coverage over the course of the games, at an absolute maximum? Unless they're talking about all three medals Australia's won in the history of the Winter Olympics, which still isn't that big a deal.

Foxtel's been running with a similar campaign. It didn't sway me to order the coverage.

It was a fucking big deal when Steven Bradbury kept his feet to go from last to first while everyone else went A over T. That was (I dont want to oversell this) the greatest moment in Earthican history.

Anyway, on a less serious note, I think Nine's talking about showing every medal event that an Australian is in. Which is slightly more than 30 seconds worth. But not much more.
