It isn't?
It thought it just makes you look shexy that's why it's there.

I'm guessing he's banned already, that's why the private message is now public.

Badass, Jae, badass  .

First thing I'd do if I ever became an NLSC Team Member, would be to change my user title to 'Admin'. It worked when I had the "banned" title.

Back on topic, Hillary 39% - 37% Obama in NH. (N) I'm not the world's biggest Obama fan, but Clinton is almost as bad as John Kerry. I hope Barack recovers. Also, watching the CNN coverage makes me sick. Clearly biased. I love how despite finishing in the top 5, twice in a row, his speech isn't shown, and he is included in the "Other" section of CNN's pie chart, despite having as many or more votes than a couple others shown.

People actually thought you were banned? Gullible people. Man, the admins will have a hard job if they had to change the custom title of every banned person (or bot) to "banned".

He hasn't given it yet. He and Hillary are waiting for the results to shake out, as either can still win NH. Edwards just gave his now.

Watching all media coverage makes me sick, especially coverage about Obama. He's not Jesus.
Ezra Klein wrote:Obama's finest speeches do not excite. They do not inform. They don't even really inspire. They elevate. They enmesh you in a grander moment, as if history has stopped flowing passively by, and, just for an instant, contracted around you, made you aware of its presence, and your role in it. He is not the Word made flesh, but the triumph of word over flesh, over color, over despair. The other great leaders I've heard guide us towards a better politics, but Obama is, at his best, able to call us back to our highest selves, to the place where America exists as a glittering ideal, and where we, its honored inhabitants, seem capable of achieving it, and thus of sharing in its meaning and transcendence.

No, seriously guys, he's not...
Brian Williams wrote:I interviewed Lee Cowan, our reporter who covers Obama, while we were out yesterday and posted the interview on the web. Lee says it's hard to stay objective covering this guy. Courageous for Lee to say, to be honest. The e-mail flood started out we caught you guys, we never did trust you. That kind of thing. I think it is a very interesting dynamic. I saw middle-aged women just throw their arms around Barack Obama, kiss him hard on the cheek and say, you know, I'm with you, good luck. And I think he feels it, too.

No, no, no, just because he's using fancy rhetoric while running on the same platform as Hillary and Edwards doesn't mean...
Gary Kamiya wrote:Obama's Iowa victory was one of those rare moments when an abstraction becomes real. In "Areopagitica," John Milton wrote, "Methinks I see in my mind a noble and puissant nation rousing herself like a strong man after sleep, and shaking her invincible locks." In Iowa, we witnessed the shaking of those locks. Like one of those miraculous reversals in one of Shakespeare's late plays, when a statue suddenly comes to life after standing motionless for years, Obama's victory seemed almost otherworldly--as if the laws of space and time had been suspended, and a quality as evanescent and fragile as hope had suddenly become real.

I am not a religious person, but it was hard not to feel that his triumph vindicated the essence of what I think of as the secular essence of religion, something even nonbelievers can believe in: the possibility of inner transformation. A transformation at once personal and national.

Sigh...please Hillary, deliver the FIREWALL in NH...this has to stop.

I bet that whoever wins the democratic nomination(most likely Hillary or Obama, duh), the other one will try to get their supporters to vote for the nominee.

I was talking about Ron Paul actually.

But while you go off on your anti-Obama rant (he's not my first choice either, but since its between Hillary, Obama, and a Republican, hes the best bet), I find it hypocritical that you support Clinton as far as media bias goes.

I know that she would be the easiest for a Republican to beat, and she basically is a Republican and all, but the main reason she won NH in the end was because of her crying theatric. I just find it pathetic how many people decided on Hillary because of that. And I find it sad that the media spun it out of proportion in her favor.

And as you continue to talk about Obama being treated like Jesus, don't forget the network that, being a right-winger, you likely watch: Fox News. They didn't let Ron Paul into their debates (and letting lower ranking candidates in) and have criticized Obama for HIS NAME.

I'm sorry for this rant, especially Benji, but with you talking about how pro-Obama the media is, I had to give my $0.02.

Lawl at all of that.

Obama is being treated like Jesus by much of the media since his win, especially those who lean favorably to the Democrats. Hillary didn't win because she cried, she won because it looks like some of the Independents outsmarted themselves and voted for McCain thinking Obama was a shoo-in.

Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama have 98% of the same exact positions on everything, as anyone who doesn't only watch the mainstream media and spends time learning about the candidates knows, and have plenty of similarties to the Democratic platforms since 1980. Obama (and Huckabee) has discovered this empty vague rhetoric that makes people orgasm when he makes his stupid speeches and think he's some kind of epic hero. Both are members of the Religious Left.

I don't watch network news for news, and I don't know why anyone would in this day and age, however, for both Iowa and NH I have left on, muted the channel that was updating fastest, in Iowa this was CNN (although I had watched the Dem caucus on C-SPAN earlier when they were doing their stupid "stand in a corner" voting), tonight it was Faux. Although in both instances I wound up just watching the terrible candidate speechifying parts while refreshing the official results pages.

The media fawns over any winners...Huckabee got it, and Obama got it...now McCain and Hillary will. They always want a fight, brings in more attention. When mainstream writers start saying Hillary will make us ascend to a higher evolutionary plane like they did for Obama, let me know... There was plenty of media questioning "is Clinton imploading?" over her crying, watch the Daily Show tonight if you want to see a montage.

I'm a "right-winger"? If liberalism and liberal interventionalism are now "right-wing" (lawl at political spectrums...kids these days...) sure. True, I tend to back Republicans, because I prefer Fascism-Lite over Fascism. Since America has joined the rest of the West in deciding we like it, slower march towards totalitarianism, plz.

Obama will sign into law his legislation that establishes harsh penalties for those who have engaged in voter fraud and provides voters who have been misinformed with accurate and full information so they can vote.

Maybe that should go in "fascism watch" instead...

 He has some evil intentions!

I don't know, he might be able to take a stab at some of the issues that other candidates can't penetrate.

Shao Khan promises to continue his successful Outworld policies here in the Earthrealm. He will also destroy those terrorists who resist his rule and capture their leader Raiden dead or alive.

Baraka on the other hand failed to destroy the Shaolin Temples, defeated by Liu Kang and his allies.

Why vote for the failed lieutenant when you can have the true emperor?

Sun Jan 13, 2008 10:45 pm

Baraka might win. That's some lethal Arnold Schwarzenegger-esque pose right there.

Shang Tsung seems like a promising candidate but his shifting positions regarding issues might hold him back.

Add to what benji said, Shao Khan has a great "leader" voice.

Do a before and after pic or something, that's a long stint without cutting hair man. Must look like a beast

Sat Jan 19, 2008 12:46 pm

I'm thinking of doing it. Plus shaving my moustache and pubic hair-like goatee (or whatever you call it) will add more to my agony.

And another steam, the program codes I made for our thesis project was a total mess. It wasn't right all along. Deadline is on Tuesday. Sheesh.

Why do you have to cut your hair if you don't want to.

Tue Jan 22, 2008 8:45 am

Don't you dare cut your hair. I trimmed my hair to above the shoulders for my job last summer. Haven't got a cut since, they aint said shit. Don't give into the hype! Put it in a ponytail or something.

So pretty much my sleeping disorder got worse. And if thats not enough I'll have to visit a shrink because of it too. I got some heavy duty sleeping pills, but they don't seem to help me much. I get sleepy, but can't fall asleep. The only time I can sleep for some hours now is in the middle of the day. Like 4pm to 6pm and at night I usually study or do other things to keep me occupied. Maybe I'm just hyper, I don't feel really tired so I think I'm okay so far. It is depressing to not be able to sleep eight hours a day though . I'm usually up for 22 hours and then get two hours of sleep. I just hope this doesn't break me .

Thu Jan 24, 2008 9:01 am

Woah, that sucks, man. I can't even begin to imagine getting only two hours of sleep per day. I mean, sleeping is the one thing I look forward doing (yeah that's just how awesome my life is right now).

I've got a weird sleeping schedule, though. I just can't seem to fall asleep during the night, no matter what. So I just stay up until 5, get up at 7, head off to school and get a good four-five hours when I get back home (I usually wake up at 8-9 for dinner).

Sometimes I manage to not wake up at that time but this leads to me waking up at 3 in the morning and not going to school because I didn't get any sleep.

When I don't get enough sleep (i.e. when I don't get to sleep in the afternoon) I get really crazy; Every little sound that I hear is like a giant needle going all the way through my head. And I get mad at everyone (including objects, food, etc) for no reason.

My sis told me I got nuts one time and started like screaming and banging my head and covering my ears, although I can't remember this.

Worst thing is, when I finally get some sleep and wake up I get this really intense headache that just won't go away (I took four aspirins at once one day and still nothing happened).

I think I should go see a doctor of some kind.

I'd completely fucked up my sleep pattern a couple of weeks ago, I was staying awake until around 1-2pm in the afternoon, falling asleep, waking up at like midnight then I'd be up again all night. It was making it hard to go to appointments and such during the day, if friends showed up at my house I was usually fucked cause I was sleeping all night. What I did was just not sleep one day... I woke up at midnight as usual, stayed awake until like 10:30pm the next night, fell asleep, woke up at 8am and have just done the same every night.

There's been a couple of nights where I've gone out and been up until 3 or 4am, but I just sleep until 9 or 10 at the latest, you're tired all day but I'd rather do that and keep sleeping normal times than get 8 hours and wake up sometime in the afternoon, thus screwing up the pattern again [/Ullillia]

That doesn't make sense to me. If you are getting up at 3 am, and have to go to school at ~8am after getting about ~10-11 hours of sleep, you should be fine.

Pera, your sleep disorder sounds like it really sucks. I am no expert, but I do have to chagne my sleep schedule frequently because I work at night, most of the time clocking in at 12 am, sometimes at 4 am. On my days off I revert to a regular schedule(sleep at night/wake in the morning), and on my next worknight I have to force myself to sleep before I am tired so I can make it through the night. Have you tried sleeping somewhere else then your bed, say like a couch?
