The cpos win that type of case more times than not, so I decided to plead guilty to the bullshit charges.
so I go to the cashier and get my paperwork for the Caltrans and then I get the fine: a total of about $1800. FUCK. I got some work to do. possibly a escond job is needed for this. plus, I get 2 points on my driving record, which was the part I was most concerned about because insurance will go through the roof.
in hindsight though, it did save me a lot of time, but maybe i could've asked for a trial by declaration (basically a trial by mail) and postponed the trial as long as i could have so the cop will forget what happened. eh, whatever, you live and you learn.

Q i had a case like that, sort of. my case was for 4 charges
1.public intoxication
2.underaged consumption (was 24, will get to that)
3.DUI
4.obstruction of justice
i spent the night in jail after being picked up by the cops while sleeping in my car to let my drunk wear off. i was in the backseat passenger side with the door open. i was also parked in my friends yard. the reason the cops were called was the party i was at got too loud and the neighbors called. when the cops came everyone in the house shut the lights off and locked the doors, like that would help. to get them to come out they woke me up, already in handcuffs, and made me sit in the front yard. after like 20 minutes they finally came out and about 15 of us went to spend the night in jail.
i got a court appointed and was ready to fight, he even thought i should, but he told me if i fought and lost on all 4 i could lose my license and possible serve some time plus huge fines. the cops offered me a deal of 300 fine if i pleaded to 1, i said 200 and they actually agreed.
in hind sight i think they made the deal thinking i was going to win for several reasons
1. they carged me with underaged when i was 24. that shows they were not intent on the case and had no clue wtf they were doing
2. i got charged with a DUI when the car was off,parked, and i had no keys on my person
3. i got hit with public intoxication while i was sleeping on my friends property
4. i got hit with obstruction even though i was handcuffed prior to wakeing up
my plea was a no contest plea to obstruction and they dropped the other 3

Dude, I understand the apprehension of actually being in the courthouse, which is why you settled when they offered. But I hate to say it bro, you got rooked anyway that garbage wouldve been thrown out for sure.
Q - Stay strong, it happens to all of us. Im serving the last 3 months of my license suspension. I live in jersey, near princeton, and I work in NYC i have to take a shuttle to the train station at 630 AM every morning. Just be thankful you still have your license and you dont have to ride bitch on your own car cause you cant legally drive it yet.

i fully agree i got screwed and i had "buyers remourse" the second i left the court room. just never been in that kind of trouble so i was happy to pay and go and put it behind me

I got mine revoked honestly, didnt know i was suspended (unpaid parking tickets), get pulled over for a random stop

Yeah, Summer has been boring. I just read through all 79 pages of this great topic over the course of a week...
Anyway, this is pretty minor and irrelevant...
I have a basketball hoop in my driveway, and my neighbors' kitchen window looks out on it. They used to rarely look out it, but now they look out it a lot.
The only reason it annoys me is that it completely throws me off, knowing that they are watching me. And now, it seems like every time I go out there, they are looking out it....
Also, Summer is boring, plus its halfway over, so School is around the corner, and last year didn't end well for me...
Damn it, after all the prior posts, this one makes me look like a tool.
