Banned both of them. Actually, I looked through some of the most recently joined users and banned about 20 of them for the same reasons... That last one was by far the strangest though..

No point banning them, they never post from what I've noticed. It's pretty annoying but no idea how to stop it.

they never post, so it doesn't really matter. on the other hand, their accounts could be deleted, but it really serves no purpose. besides, how many people on this forum haven't seen porn before anyway?

There isn't one in place to stop bots signing up at the moment but since they're signing up more and more frequently it looks like we need one.

I was talking to Jae about this the other day on MSN as well. Maybe filter out keywords in emails. He said something like you couldnt find any thingies for that and they didnt post sso most occasions they were ignored which is understandable.

I believe I've got a mod lying around somewhere that adds an extra step to registration to filter out the bots and ensure it's a human user signing up, I'll have to find it. For the most part they're harmless but some of them do randomly post so I'd rather stop them if I can.

Don't know if such a thing exists, but a nice way to prevent these bots from signing up would be the same kinda system nba.com uses for eg. the photo of the year voting.

Yes, you select the photo then it will ask you to enter in a word. I think they are all NBA related because I have had to enter things like "primetime" and "basket"
