Pimp My Ride's West Coast Customs builds a real-life Banshee!

Gamestop is giving this away with $70,000, which I presume will help you pay the taxes you will incur by winning the car

i am hitting a midnight release but i will be working anyway. i requested an hour lunch so i can run to the store to pick it up. the hard part is going to be the wait after i got it since my shift wont end until 730 am. i guess i will have to make do with looking at all the CE stuff i got

Apparently I'm the only guy on 360 but I joined the crew regardless. Deal with it.

I'll be on xbox too for the time being, not much of an online gamer though..but seeing the stuff that GTA has, that might change.

I am not sure if everyone's gonna be able to get their game on release date. I hear there're too many orders to fill including 2 milliion pre-order sales, which is just insane.

GTA V Collector’s Edition sold out after just one week
Does your pre-order guarantee a pick up on Release date? I don't wanna sound like an asshole or anything but anything can happen. We saw what Ray Allen did in Game 6.

i spend too much money at this store for them to not give me my copy. if i didnt get my copy of the CE i would pull every preorder i got out of there. that alone would be about a 1200 hit to the store. so yeah there is a chance for anything to go wrong but i am pretty confident it wont

edit: reports have this game costing 265 million (production/marketing) and some people are actually talking like it was a bad idea. this game will easily make a billion dollars. i also expect them to have some sort of plan to make money off of GTA online which would only increase profits

Reminds me of discussion that I had with my friend back in the days. I said GTA is probably the best video game franchise over likes of COD. Then he told me how the devs and company love the COD series because they can release it every year and make tons of profit. Meanwhile GTA is quite a gamble like Max Payne III which the company went all in with but then came out short in the market and it resulted in bankruptcy in Vancouver studio. Still the COD is the biggest series in the video game market, lol though I never really enjoyed it that much but then I also happen to be one of those people who bought their game.

i could be wrong but i think gta is bigger than cod and i think pokemon and the sims is bigger than them both. thats total sales not dollars and not counting games included with a system like wii sport or mario

right now gta is against the elder scrolls for the best game franchise of all time on gamestop for whatever thats worth lol

There is absolutely no way that map comparison is to scale. lol

I'd assume Los Santos is going to be roughly as big as Liberty City. Like that.

It was from this Reddit post, where the guy shows all all his work for scaling the maps

and I saw this to fight 'doubters' when I went back to get that link

I'm sorry, just look at that. The fucking LS airport is as big the first island of LC. Do you remember driving through that first island? How big and broad would the roads in LS have to be to make that area as big as that island?

the post you linked to has had its image deleted.

From my Reddit link, he has a strict V vs IV comparison with the higher quality leaked map that shows more of the minor roads, and has IV's map overlaid over LS' city
http://i1.minus.com/ibe5rbXEZhgfTr.png

Actually, it looks like this has all been BS due to the guy not scaling the scale at the bottom correctly. He fucked up metric/imperial units, so here is the much more realistic comparison

Thank goodness. If the map were that big, we'd all be driving for an hour just to start a mission. They don't need to duplicate Los Angeles traffic realistically.

lol at the idea than even Rockstar could afford and sweatshop produce a game with 20-30 times the assets of GTA IV on current gen consoles and have it look like the screenshots and videos.

Agreed, taking a few liberties in that regard isn't such a bad idea. I've been playing San Andreas again recently and although it's great to have such a huge map to explore, the second chapter does have a lot of driving to get to some missions/objectives, or back to the safe house to save the game when you're done.
