Smallville finale was alright, not as good as I was hoping and they didn't show much of the suit :(

I'm about a decade late on this one, but I just started watching Undeclared. As a big fan of Freaks and Geeks, it was on my list for years as the next show I had to watch, but I've only just got around to it now. I absolutely love it, but it makes me sad as well because there's only 17 episodes.

Even sadder is that they inexplicably start to suck halfway through (though the episode where the stoner guy tries to be like Beck's hilarious)

Finally got into Mad Men. Came for Christina Hendricks (interpret that any way you like), stayed for the excellent writing.

I watched all of it years ago, I remember almost none of it. Except that the plotline with the "girlfriend" was one of the worst things ever. And that all of the side characters were better than the main characters.

Burn Notice peeps, who watched THE FALL OF SAM AXE?

I'm about halfway through Undeclared. I still like it, but I ended up watching the first season of Oz instead of going any further.

No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. No, that's not true, that's impossible!

All the same people! (There's so much backstory behind Whose Line, Drew didn't want to host but ABC made him or they wouldn't put it on the air and then he and the rest got into wanting to do it more but ABC said no to continue it. Which is why they did Green Screen which died, and now they're doing this because Drew has leverage from Price is Right. Brad and Colin and so on have been doing it on the road for a while, (almost went to see it when it came here but had to do other shit) Drew just used his leverage to get a show of it made.)

It's the camera angles that suck.

did anybody catch Wilfred last night on FX? I was intrigued with the premise of the show after watching a few commercials. i liken the relationship between Elijah Wood & Wilfred to be like Peter & Brian of Family Guy where sometimes the dog acts human, but sometimes acts like a dog. it was pretty good. and the big dude from American History X/My Name Is Earl/Boy Meets World lost a lot of weight.

New Seasons

Burn Notice - meh, we'll see about this. Was hoping Michael would have some adventures in D.C. for a bit. Fi and Sam can hold down the fort in Miami well enough in my opinion.

White Collar - AWESOME.

Covert Affairs - Premiere was meh but last two have been good. Half the cast seems to be missing though.

Suits - Could be fun, pilot has some good parts. "How much did you spend on suits?" "$500" "And how many did you get?" "Five." Infinitely better premise than Fairly Legal. (Better acting too, worse scenery porn though.)

Memphis Beat - Opener was weak and certainly didn't have the tweaked direction, second episode did, and was quite fun.

I uploaded some Parks clips on YouTube:

And a clip from something else for Jae:

I like how she's onto everything, likes Mozzie, etc. Last episode when they were trying to plan the party and failing thus having to call her in was great.

Watched Wilfred. Interesting I suppose. Ethan Surplee actually added weight back, he lost a shit ton (like 200lbs or something) but then was losing roles because of it so he allowed some back. He's not the first guy to have to do that. Seth Rogan has that producer protection but I think Drew Carey said a year or so ago that if he wanted to do another sitcom he'd have to add like 80+ pounds or something at least. He used to have to wear his glasses despite corrective surgery because people expected him to be fat and wearing glasses. It's always fun to tell people about how he was in the Marines.

White Collar continues to run up the score with an epic Mozzie episode, Covert Affairs is doin' work and Memphis Beat had the best one of the season so far.

And MasterChef continues to squeeze twenty minutes of content into an hour. Hooray! (Steak challenge is actually a pretty brutal one though.)

Just blitzed through The Voice. I am a sucker for these talent shows but I gave up on Idol last season and X Factor is contrived shit so I haven't bothered with that lately. I thought The Voice was really good though. I don't like any of the judges music but I enjoyed them collaborating over and over again, and I like that the focus was on coaching moreso than judging... also the judges weren't campaigning as heavily as they do on X Factor. Plus nearly all of the contestants were likeable, particularly Beverly, Nakia, the bald guy who dressed like an early 90's nu-metal cast-off and Dia. I also enjoyed the fact that Christina probably had more hair on her vag than her two female finalists had on their heads.

Yeah Watched it with my parents. My only beef with it is all the contestants had several albums to their names (Javier had 3, Vicci has a bunch of live acoustic sets, and dia's been on warped tour) and their "stories" just didnt jive with that for me. Still really liked the sound of all 4 finalists. Nakia was probly my fifth pick. Then before Rebecca Loebe from the super early rounds.

wipeout (especially the commentary) is awesome. and anime can be pretty entertaining too. Buso Renkin and Lucky Star are cool, and they're less "WTF Japan" content. (Y)
