A 50 is a pass for me, although I've never got close to that. I know kids who had a 48 or 49 and the teacher bumped them up just to pass them :?. I guess because they didn't want to see them again next year.

at our school it goes something like this

91-100% of marks = A+
81-90% of marks = A
76-80% of marks = B+
71-75% of marks = B
66-70% of marks = C+
61-65% of marks = C
56-60% of marks = D+
51-55% of marks = D
45-49% of marks = E+
40-44% of marks = E
0-39% = fail

But a majority of the tests are only out of around 30 marks... so it's kinda hard

holy shit, a 40 is passing? In my school a 65 is passing. The lowest I've ever gotten was a 12. Just don't ask.

I dont think Jugs is talking about the number of questions you get wrong for a grade, hes talking about the percentage you have to get right for those grades, damn it I would kill for a system like yours

A-90-100%
B-80-89%
C-70-79%
D-60-69%
F-0-59%

I average over a 90 every year, but we get our progress reports about halfway through the marking period, and I have in the 80's in about 3 classes. It's mostly because I've done bad on the one major grade we've had so far (and the fact that my math teacher simply cannot teach), but my mom seems too thickheaded to see that. I never get any room to stretch at my house, it's always "I'm not motivated enough" or I'm "Blaming it on something else".

 Oh. My. God. That's hilarious. I spelled my name wrong on a test once too, but I did it on purpose. I wrote 'Austin Powers' yet somehow the teacher still knew it was mine :?

Doobie you fucking moron.

Here - 100-86 - A
86-73 - B
72-67 - C+
66-55 - C
55-50 - C-
49-0 - F
I'm not sure about the exact numbers for where the various C's end and begin. But that's about it.

Nah, it was a new teacher and only like the first month of school. It was probably because I was always the one pissing her off, so she took a wild guess.

Or maybe she collected everyones test , and yours wasn't the only one handed in , and through a process of elimination found out it was your test.

Hey, do you guys have this in your exams? We got this one criteria called 'modeling and application' and in it, if you get more than 0, it's a C... We got it in Chem and Physics.

One time I had no clue what the test was on so I wrote my friends name on it instead (he was in the same class) and we both handed it in. The next day the teacher said he didn't get a test from me but he got two from Anthony (my friend). The teacher then said I must have put the wrong name and he asked me which one was mine and I told him the one my friend did. I got a better grade than him. (Y)

That was very crapply written.

That's kind of a bad way to treat a friend isn't it?

right now i have physics for science. its the gayest class there is sereously. the teacher makes every oppurtunity to flip out at us for no reason whatsoever. our grading system is the one nbalive744 has, its ok in some way. anyways one time we were reviewing for some test by playing pictionary, and she said that we couldn't move on as fast as we are able to. so one group did and she flipped out.

then today we had some sub that had no clue what he was talking about. then he asks us at the end of our class if he was confusing or not.

Your friend and your teacher are very stupid people.

Your teacher should've asked Anthony which one was his, instead of asking you, who didn't even bother inquiring why you wrote your name as Anthony. Secondly, Anthony must be very stupid to recieve his test back and not notice what his handwriting must look like.

Or you just made it up, you liar!

So we have to do this for 2 weeks til' official practice start and I hate this shit. I've never seen the streets in Memphis so damn empty when I was going to school this morning. My brohter was going 90 in the fast lane on the freeway with no traffic at all so that was the only fun part
