Nah I read it. When I was about 11 I saw an ad on TV for speed reading and I thought it was interesting, so I bought the book and learnt how to do it. It's come in useful, I can leave school assignments and shit until the last minute because I can read entire books in short periods of time.
It's the coolest thing I've learnt to do, apart from creating a bong out of a bottle of coke and a plastic bag.

I always kind of wanted to learn how to speed read, but I've never seen a convenient way to do it like a book. I ought to check that out, increase my procrastination.

Do a Google search for tips, it varies from person to person. Personally I just block everything else out and concentrate entirely on whatever I'm reading, then I can read it as quickly as I want and remember it all because I've got nothing else in my mind apart from what I'm reading.
Second thing, get a bottle of coke (a 600ml one) cut the bottom off it about 40% of the way up (so the bottle's almost cut in half) and then get a plastic bag and tape it over the bottom of the bottle (make sure the bag is loose, because when you breathe in the bag should go up into the bottle) then get some foil, put some pin pricks in the top of it, put the foil over the mouth of the bottle they put the weed or whatever on the foil, light it up, let the smoke gather in the bottle... take the foil off and inhale. As you breathe in, the bag will come up into the actual bottle and you'l get all of the smoke

I was editing our mock thesis and files/parts of the paper, about two Chapters long, somehow got corrupted/lost/damaged/ in the PC the day before the defense and submission. We passed an incomplete paper. What happened was an accident but the bottomline is, it was my fault for it happened when I was doing it. I don't care if I pass the subject or not but I'm more concerned about my groupmates.
Stupid technology. After this semester I'm going old school. I'm going to get a typewriter, seriously.

argghhh....shit....thing is I'm playing bball again and am still playing in some sweet Nikes that I had like 7 years ago....problem is that they started breaking up a week back....I don't want to buy a new pair as I want to wait 6 weeks until I get to the States to buy some....
so guess what happens in the game tonight, the bottom of my shoe buckles a little and I twist my ankle....hurts like hell and is swollen up like anyone's mum's pussflaps....and we lost the game and we had been leading by 8pts at one stage luckily it's only a preseason game....I probably should have rested it as I injured it before the half but had a 6 or 7 minute spell in the 3rd quarter and got back out there and played through it....figured I was warmed up and it hadn't swollen up at that point ahh well, if it turns out to be a solid sprain (which I doubt) then I'll probably just strap it for tennis and bball next week 
point of the story, I need some new shoes, but gotta play through with old ones for another 6 weeks

When you read a large book...just read intro and conclusion..then MAYBE if you have time read the middle, or you can read the first and last paragraph of every chapter if you have more time. It works well! In History classes in college I read like a few books a day sometimes..so I know reading a few 400 page books in a day is clearly possible...if you don't read most of it.

I don't believe this shit. I buy a new hard drive for my upgraded computer, so I can move the old hard drive to my previous computer (that's missing a hard drive). The older computer's got the older hard drive and I'm using it right now.
As for the new hard drive, it's not an IDE but a serial ATA hard drive, and my friend claims he knows how to install hard drives wasn't too familiar with the SATA, went ahead and plugged the SATA cable and TWO power plug ins into the hard drive. I told him that didn't look right, but he went ahead and did it anyways. There was a weird noise then the computer said hard drive not detected. We thought maybe the plug in configurations were wrong, and so we kept trying, then we got another friend to come in and check the BIOS settings. After hours and hours of fucking configuration and such, he asks my friend, "did you plug in both power sockets?" and my friend made some dumbass excuses, and I'm like, "Yeah, both power sockets were in." Then the guy goes to my friend, "You're so stupid! The label on the hard drive itself said, 'plug in either power supplies, not both, as it may cause damage to the hard drive.'" I knew it! I fucking told him, and he thought it'd be ok. My 250 GB hard drive got fucking fried! Now, he's gonna go back to the place on Monday and do an exchange for me.
Bad fucking news this is, I'm gonna waste more time installing all of my shit to the new computer, and I need the computer for my graphic design work, and I can't do any of that till Monday. I'm so fucking behind!

Yeah it does, I had the opportunity to re-do a project that I did OK on, but wanted a higher mark so I can get that out of the way and do extra work, but no, I have to wait till Monday evening just to catch up because I'm falling behind each day. This whole weekend, I did absolutely nothing, and it's not going to help when I have this coming week with more work piling up. Man, I'm so pissed at the guy. He offered to go and exchange it and install it for me, and he'll pay for the price difference since instead of a Western Digital (that was the last one there, and he fried it), I'll get a Seagate.
