I would be surprised if they didn't have a PC version. They will put the console versions first, and then release the PC version later, like they did with IV. At least I hope.

They should release PC version first so they can fix and optimize it, then have a solid console version.
Fri Feb 01, 2013 7:28 pm
They should, but it's wishful thinking. I guess I'll just be getting it on 360.

My source tells me the movie itself alone in this game is about 55 hours long. And all contents won't fit in a couple disks but several. 3 characters of course and much much larger area to explore. Probably instantly a game of the year. I can't see how developers could have screwed up this title with so much invested.
BUY BUY BUY!

From the little I've played, GTAV was terribly optimized for pcs... I hope this one is smoother.
Wed Feb 06, 2013 2:36 am
I'm sure it wasn't. Especially since they aren't done making "GTAV" yet.

Looks amazing. Of note:
To @icharyd and others who are asking, these screens are from the current generation of consoles.

New trailers come out 4/30, one for each protagonist.
Fri Apr 26, 2013 9:25 pm
So basically they will be...
"These young gang bangers don't know what respect means, too old for this shit"
"Hey man, I'm not a gang banger, I'm more legit than that"
"*BOOM*, *BLAM*, UNSTABLE?!??!? *SLICE*"

^ just like you quoted, none of these 3 characters seem likable to me and I could already tell from the first news of the game I'm not gonna like either one....
these types of games usually give people the ability to create their own characters and rummage through the game RPG style leveling things up. It brings a whole other level of satisfaction because it's your own creation. I'm sure Rockstar knows this but they still chose to stuck with their original formula with a minor twist, adding 3 to choose from
Tommy Vercetti of Vice City and CJ of San Andreas, now those two guys were awesome.... I made it to about 20% of GTA 4 and I couldn't play another minute, game was horrible, from the bad graphics that were barely upscaled to HD, to just the whole storyline and character, nothing about that game appealed to me.....
I will give GTA V a really good run, I do miss being a gamer... all I been playing last few years is sports titles exclusively

This game due in September but I am guessing it's likely to be delayed once more. I hear entire Rockstar studios have been shifted to work on this game though. Hoping for no more delays for this guaranteed awesome title.

That's how Rockstar always works. All hands on deck to piece the mess together to make release, then some layoffs. It's happened for all their games this generation, even probably Table Tennis. It's not a well managed division. (I've also heard some talk that RAGE might be as bad as Source can be...)
Sad thing is they'll get crushed by Saints Row IV a few weeks before and the GTA series will probably have to come to an end after nobody buys the inferior product.

Unfortunately only thing that comes to an end for sure is Saints Row series. Their studio Volition pretty much announced to close after this project. They're hoping for success of SR IV to miracurously provide them another project but in this market, I don't think they'll be funded to keep their studio opened.

smh, you can't just make bullshit up, this is the internet.

Cool. Nice callback to San Andreas with the green gang colours.
Wed May 01, 2013 12:27 pm
In fact
1) One of the guys looks like Smoke with the hat and glasses. Looks way too similar.
2) There is a Grove Street reference in the grafitti in the Franklin video.
The Franklin video really looks like a fun game. Trevor is basically a total loose screw. Both of them should have fun stories. Michael used to be my favorite, but not so much now.
Thu May 02, 2013 5:21 am
Isn't Franklin something like a cousin of CJ from San Andrea while Michael has relation to Tom Versatti or something? Now too sure about Trevor.

As far as I'm aware, the new games take place in a different continuity, so it's more of a nod to the previous games rather than any kind of direct relation to/continuation of them.

Once again, a pretty good job there,

Several articles about the game came out today. One of them states that you will be able to customize cars, and that the Pay and Spray will also serve as the mod shop.
Damn right.
Here is one of the articles -
http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/05/02/ ... e-big-cityNot only can you can swim, but you can don SCUBA gear and go underwater and explore, too. Rockstar promises that there’s a lot to find under the waves of the ocean and the calm waters of lakes and rivers alike in the San Andreas region, and for as big as the map is on dry land, it’s far bigger when you take into account that aqueous locations are also available to be explored at will. It’s a tantalizing prospect for players who like to see every inch of a sandbox game like this.
Also,
http://www.reddit.com/r/GrandTheftAutoV/comments/1dk6n7/all_gta_v_new_information_summary/You can buy property; houses, garages and businesses can all be purchased for extra revenue sources.
You can customise yourself with haircuts, new clothes, and tattoos
Pay N Sprays can also mod cars with paint jobs, new wheels, window tints, grilles, spoilers. Upgrades to suspension, engine and brakes can also be made Weapons can also be customised with laser sights, scopes, silencers, and high capacity magazines
You can pick up hitchikers, do stunt jumps and flying challenges, take part in yoga, golf, tennis or bike races.
iFruit, the game's new phone, can be used to snap pictures and upload them to Rockstar's Social Club
The phone also has apps. In addition to the camera there is internet, contacts, social media, a calendar, and a replay missions app. There are three more Rockstar hasn't yet revealed.

Sounds like they're including some good features from previous games there.
I was happy to hear that checkpoints in particular will be more forgiving in GTA V
So, no more failing a lengthy mission due to bad luck and having to start over from the beginning? Welcome news if so.
