I'd say Finn and AJ was the best match of TLC. I find that main event to be a total mess.

Balor/AJ was great, no surprises there. I liked the main event for what it was, a spectacle rather than great in-ring work.

Wow, that was a surprising episode of Raw. I guess Shane definitely has experience runing an invasion angle haha. I hope they come every week and do this until the PPV

Makes you wonder why they made Emma look strong against Asuka if she was on the bubble. I think they wasted her and Darren Young.

She was going to get a run with the bully gimmick with Dana Brooke but her injury really messed that up

Yeah and I also thought that whole Emmalina schtick from last year also kinda ruined her momentum coming back. I'm pretty disappointed she was released because she was a great wrestler back in NXT (that match vs. Paige in that NXT Women's Championship finals) and during her heel run.

Lio Rush who was recently signed to NXT made a "joke" about Emma's release, saying that (verbatim) "that's what happens when you're really not ready for Asuka," which caused the ire of fellow NXT and WWE talents. Rush deleted the tweet and issued an apology because of the "joke."

I forgot about that. I think her unwillingness to commit to that character led to her undoing as well since they had nothing else for her.

It's a shame too because they forced that character onto Lana which didn't allow her to do here hip hop dancer gimmick which I thought was cool. You can look it up on YouTube but that gimmick was her basically being herself in real life

Was that what happened? I just thought creative/Vince got cold feet on her, and pulled the gimmick before it had a chance.

I also think Emma's already fine as the Evil Emma character.

It's tiresome watching Stephanie McMahon's character emasculate people. It just makes Kurt Angle look pathetic to stand there like a scolded dog while she screeches at him. It's an ongoing problem with her character, especially as she never gets her comeuppance...not for long, anyway. And then to top it off, HHH storms out, does the same thing, and squashes Jason Jordan to boot. Sure, it's too soon to be pushing Jordan to the moon, but Stephanie and HHH shouldn't (still) be running roughshod over everyone, with everyone just hanging their heads and not daring to fight back.

Say what you will about Vince, but he at least knew that he needed to get his ass kicked and be made to look a fool in the name of entertainment.

That's been HHHs problem for a very very long time. He seems to be living in the past where his character is some sort of mega draw and still the best/strongest guy around. Even back then when he was ditching chyna for Stephanie or even before then he was still playing politics trying to set himself in a good spot. Seems like he's got a bit of an ego to the point where he couldn't even job to Sting who was the main draw that year. There's no way he's losing to Angle if they square off.

Absolutely. There's a difference between simply losing (which he has done) and truly putting guys over (his history there is more iffy). HHH never looks weak and even when he loses the eventual blow-off match, he still dominates the feud overall and makes the other guy look second rate. Stephanie is worse in some ways, because obviously they're not going to have babyfaces get physical with her. They don't even get to stand up for themselves though; they just hang their heads and pout while she screeches at them. As I said, it's tiresome.

It's weird because HHH has definitely done great things with NXT and obviously understands the business, but when it comes to his character, he has a blind spot. I remember several years back, websites reviewing one of the Smackdown vs. RAW games were instructed not to feature any screenshots where he's being beaten or is down on the mat. That says it all, really.

What happened with the Bella feud with Stephanie? I think that was when you thought brie was going to get the upper hand I think that's when Nikki turned right?

Yeah that was it, it's a Summerslam if I remember correctly.

As I watched Raw, I think it's really funny how the authority feud on Raw just repeats itself halfway after Wrestlemania season. And it's also funny that Kurt didn't do anything when HHH turned around and gave Jordan the Pedigree. He just looked as it happens.

heh, he has an interesting character. Very they make him out to be like a Orlando Jordan/Goldust type, but he's basically a Prince ripoff, which is cool because I like Prince.

Wargames match was a spotfest as expected

He's a very entertaining performer, and I'm hoping that his character evolves into something cool. I'm enthusiastic about him, at least.
