During the 2012-13 season, he collected something like $26mil and for a ring for sitting on the bench. Somehow I think he'll be alright.

Al-Farouq Aminu is a bust but is still far better defensively.

Greg Monroe to sign Pistons' offer, delays free agency
Perhaps there weren't offers he liked, or ones from the teams that he'd like to play for.

Andre Drum / Monroe / Josh Smith / Jennings / Meeks

30 wins season ahead.

Jordan Hill's 9 million next season was a team option, right?

Add Shawn Marion to the guys LeBron has sucessfully recruited to the Cavs.
Marion will sign for the veteran's minimum despite a better offer from the Pacers.

I don't understand all this hate for the Heat. Yes, a lot of people were Heat fans because the best player in the world played for them, but do people hate on Bulls fans who are fans because of Michael Jordan? Plus, Lebron isn't even on the Heat anymore

This probably belongs in the Unpopular Opinion topic.

Pistons sign Cartier Martin and Aaron Gray
http://www.insidehoops.com/blog/?p=16441

I think these two are great pick ups for the Pistons. I always liked Aaron Gray though his use was minimal. He seems to be traditional type of big. Should be a solid back up for Drum and Monro.

Traded (with cash considerations) to Philly for a TPE, then waived instantly. His contract would become guaranteed if we wasn't waived before September 1st.

What a waste of talent. He could have been Roy Hibbert/Tyson Chandler alike with better mobility. Awareness and basketball IQ along with right attitude are things that stunt his growth. Reminds me of Stromile Swift (I was frigging excited when Vancouver drafted this kid! LoL good ole days.)

Question is, is Hasheem still salvageable? What you guys think?

I wouldn't be surprised if he hangs around for at least a few more years yet, but right now, I'm not sure that he'll develop into a valuable rotation player. We've seen the unlikely happen before - Zach Randolph went from being a team cancer to an All-Star and a key part of the Grizzlies' resurgence - but it's looking like Thabeet was just too raw when he came into the league. I don't think he has an attitude problem or anything, his game just doesn't have enough polish. Perhaps some time in the D-League could help him resurrect his career and allow him to latch on somewhere as a solid contributor, but I think the bar is going to be set fairly low with him.
