With all due respect to the Utah franchise's history and winning ways, that name is meant for New Orleans, it turned from a representation of a city's history into just another nickname once the Jazz moved to Utah, and absolutely nobody would side with the Utah Jazz in this conflict.

Louisiana has plenty of other things besides jazz. Find something else to be and let the Jazz stay in Utah.

While the Jazz moniker obviously suits New Orleans much more than Utah, they own the name and they've had it for decades. I don't think there's anything wrong with them keeping the Hornets name but if it absolutely must be changed, as Oz said there are other names to pick from.

Meanwhile, it's good to see the league find a buyer for the team and put an end to the conflict of interest that came to a head with the vetoed Chris Paul deal.
