David Lee - best white American player?

Hear me out guys.

Granted it's not a good talent pool but the only argument you could make for this particular title is for Kidd and Hinrich.

Here's his stats:

- 20.7 rebound rate, good for 4th in the league. (Only players ahead of him are Reggie Evans, Mutombo, and Chandler and the former two only played 17 mpg so I might be content on saying Lee was a top 3 rebounder last year)

- .652 TS%, good for 3rd in the league. He does this because he shoots .600% and .815% from the FT line.

- 20.2 PER, good for 31st in the league, by far the best Knick, Kidd is 39th in the league, Hinrich 68th

So, Lee is a top 3 rebounder and shooter (in the simplest sense). I certainly wouldn't vehemently oppose the argument for Kidd because of his defense and distributing ability but is he really white? I thought he was mixed somehow.

And so beginds the age old debate... is Jason Kidd white? I'm pretty sure he is only half... Half of Tim Duncan/Jason Kidd is way better than David Lee anyway...

Luke Walton, Mike Miller, Kirk Hinrich and Brad Miller are all better than David Lee

Lee is a top 3 rebounder and shooter

I don't care what anyone says, Jason Kidd is white, white as white. He has to be less than half black and if he is than he can count as white. If Mike Bibby is black, Jason Kidd is white.

David Lee is dope.
Hes not a shooter hes a dunker, and you could make an argument hes best white dunker in the NBA, considering he did when the 2005? college dunk contest.

And yes, he does speak the truth....David Lee in like 18 MPG gets 10 boards, he is a beast on the boards.

Dude has no defense.

So he could evolve into a finesse dunker version of Carlos Boozer, where Boozer is power.

err, not a Boozer fan.. but there's no way in hell David Lee will come close to Boozer.

I don't think any coach will make David Lee their scoring option.

If David Lee played as long as Boozer...he'd get a 17/14 combo, more blocks also....David Lee is lowest paid player on the Knicks ( i believe) ....Boozer...highest.....money motivated so if David Lee went somewhere else...hed do even better I gurantee you, then he is now.

Teams David Lee could START on....
Hawks, Celtics, Bobcats (move Okafor to C), Warriors, Rockets, Lakers (Odom is soooo soft), Heat, Bucks, Nets, Hornets, Knicks, Magic (move Howard to C all the time), 76'ers, Kings, Sonics, Wizards
Dude could start on any of the half of the league.

I agree David Lee has potential, but he'll never compare to Boozer as a scorer - statisticly, he might start scoring a lot more over the next seasons, but their offensive games are extremely different.

David Lee shoots such a high percentage because he barely takes any shots put tip-ins, layups and dunks, after he gets offensive rebounds.
