NBA on Foxtel/Aussie TV 2013/2014

Since last year's topic proved to be popular, I figured we'd do it again this year.

I've been keeping an eye on the schedules over at ESPN International's website and they're up to November so some NBA games are already listed. Shame we didn't get any NBA Classic this offseason. :(

The NBA returns to our screens (at least those of us who have pay TV) October 28th with the season's first NBA Action. I wish I knew what happen to Jim Fagan, the new presenters aren't fit to use his microphone.

The first game will be shown November 5th, specifically the November 4th matchup between the Cavaliers and Spurs. Not a bad opener, the defending champions and revamped Cavs with LeBron. KIA NBA Shootaround at 11:30, game tips off live at 12:00 PM EST, repeated in the evenings as usual.

The next game will be the following Saturday, but the week after that there are two games scheduled. So it looks like once again we'll be getting at least one game a week, sometimes two during the regular season.

Check here for listings, or conjure up your own personalised schedule using the Wizard. This is the current NBA schedule for ESPN Australia and ESPN PR, up until the end of November.

seems like there is a bit of Kobe, LBJ, Shaq, Knicks and Spurs....same old, same old I guess....was hoping for a Bobcats' game or two

as for my pay tv hopes, they'll have to wait until the new year....there's no point in getting it if I'm gonna be away the whole of December....may as well wait....

NBA Action, damn, I haven't seen that in years....brings back memories....

I mean, thats gotta be a joke.......

Sportscenter is a great show, although I get VERY bored when they are doing all the non Basketball and Football - NFL - stuff....

I like every Miami and Lakers game.

ESPN now features some NBA Basketball game with Bill,Michelle etc..But when halftime comes or in pre-game shows it is done by the CHINESE people how about that??Most people can't understand..Hope they'll reduce those and stay with the real commentators..Universal language please ESPN if you dont mind??!!!

Never happens on Australia/PR, though sometimes we get the English-speaking International commentary team, whose names escape me at this time.

By the way, no changes in the schedule as of yet. Doesn't look like we'll be getting any pre-season games (we got the Houston/Sacramento pre-season series live from China last year), nor any NBA Classic before the season begins.

I don't think they can show it. None of the Christmas Day games are ESPN broadcasts, though they are ABC broadcasts so I suppose there's an outside chance. Of course, any Christmas Day games will be shown live here on Boxing Day due to the time difference. If they don't show those gmes, perhaps they'll show some NBA Classic or something along those lines.

Indeed, seems ESPN International's website is down. So long as it's temporary and isn't an omen about the coverage this season, I can put up with that.

Andrew, didnt they show some ABC Playoff games though?

Just as long as its not the Globetrotters, and a real game, its still good.

They showed the NBA Finals which were ABC broadcasts and they showed a few Fox Sports broadcasts during the regular season. It'll probably be a similar deal this year.

Unfortunately not. No pre-season this year.

Looks like they'll be at least one a week with quite a few weeks with two games. The playoffs usually see around three games a week. Should hopefully get a few double headers again this year, too.
