saddest part of that play was nobody on the heat tried to foul immediately after.

Lebron has been in the league long enough to know all that crying won't change anything when the refs have already called it.

And he's gotten away with worse on a few of his blocks and whatnot, such as Game 2 of the 2012 NBA Finals. I'm not suggesting that referees don't miss calls - even when superstars are involved - or that LeBron's success only comes from getting a lot of calls, because that would be ridiculous. However, it would be just as ridiculous for anyone to suggest that LeBron doesn't get a fair shake or that the league has a vendetta against him.

If the league thinks the no-all was wrong, they will probably release a statement like they have done previous the season.

Heat lose again today against Grizzlies. Which makes the Eastern Conference #1 more interesting along with the West #8

Looking forward to that Pacers game.

I know. When my dawg Andrew says "it's an odd comparison", you know it's bad

But I was just bringing that up to show Steve that Durant is playing on an elite level defensively. And my main thing was to show that Durant will be the best scorer in NBA history by the end of his career, and that's still there. Because the PPG is always uprising with elite shooting.

mandich wrote:Why would they want that ?

I don't know. I'm not throwing any conspiracy theories. I'm just saying that's what happened. Even LeBron haters like you won't disagree that there was a foul. And the refs just didn't do anything about it.

bowdown wrote:Lebron has been in the league long enough to know all that crying won't change anything when the refs have already called it.

He was just making a point that it was an unfair call. And you know that frustrated LeBron

There was no foul. Hand is part of the ball.

I don't know about Durant being the best scorer, but like I said, he's already in the conversation as being one of them. He absolutely deserves the MVP this year, he's had a fine season.

I didn't know the Durant streak had ended against Kings. He scored only 23. Of course it was intentionally, my question is why? He could have easily took the streak to 60-70 games.

Pdub wrote:There was no foul. Hand is part of the ball.

Even if you don't see the blocking foul by Plumlee, what about sneaky motherfucker Johnson?

shadowgrin wrote:Nope. http://bkref.com/tiny/GtJrk

That site gave me a headache. Durant last 4 seasons from hoopstats:

2010/11 - 27.9(.460)
11/12 - 28.1(501)
12/13 - 28.5(.502)
13/14 - 32.0 (.508)

EDIT: It seems they gave the wrong stats. I checked NBA.com-- Durant 12/13 stats: .510 not .502, before then .496 not .501-- confusing.

I don't get stopping Durant's streak either. I think they were trying not to seem petty about personal statistics but I don't give a shit. I want any historical stat to keep on going.

The same thing happened when Durant had that 30+ point streak going, which ended when the Thunder were up big and he didn't need to come back into the game. I think Scott Brooks has a strong sense of sportsmanship and wants that to be a part of his team's culture. I recall this speech from the 2012 Finals:

The 2012 Finals was the event that shaped LeBron and the rest of the Miami Heat because of the flopping. Smh, that really wasn't fair

I'm no Heat fan, but at the end of the day, they played the better basketball when it mattered the most in the last two NBA Finals series. There were some sketchy calls last year too (although they did go both ways), but the Spurs were right there with a chance to win it; a rebound and a few missed free throws away, in fact. They do have a couple of notable floppers, but their more legitimate talents are what ultimately got the job done.

Kinda bizarre night. Dieng grabbed 20 reb, 10 of them on offensive end. And Corey Brewer with 51 points effort. In result the Rockets fell short in a very close game.

Then the Heat beat the heck out of the Pacers. Lance Stephenson with kinda quite night and Roy Hibbert was nowhere to be seen. This is odd because these two players are the guys who usually makes great noise against the Heat. This also helps Noah's case for DPOY award because Hibbert has been terrible lately.

And with PHX's loss and MEM's win, MEM overtakes the 8th seed in West.

Well, you can't blame the kid . He is nearly unstoppable in offense. If only he could pack some of them muscles like LeBron.....

MVP, clinched!

Surprising game from Brewer, but it's always entertaining to see role players pull out a game like that. When Gerald Green was having that big night a few weeks ago, I was hoping he'd end up with 60+, just for the sheer spectacle of it.
