the video comparison between Kobe and MJ was nice

I can't wait for the Lakers management to bring a player that would complement Kobe perfectly. Once that's done the league better watch out

Kobe is one sick dude!
No wonder why he always shoots 3 feet behind that 3point line...
Sat Mar 25, 2006 2:46 pm
Oh, and they're both left-handed shots...

Man someone must have slapped Kwame and told him to play basketball.
13 pts 6/10 shooting 4 rbs in the 3rd Quarter. Thats pretty good

Lakers win again against the Bucks. Final score was 101-96. Kobe had 43, and Kwame had another solid performance with 16 and 9.
Sat Mar 25, 2006 4:17 pm
A couple of key errors by the Bucks down the stretch which the Lakers capitalised on brilliantly. Nice win, very impressive first quarter by Kobe.

Andrew Bogut, despite his 10/5 in 12 minutes, sat most of the 3rd and all of the 4th.

That Kobe/MJ vid is nice especially the Ewing/Ming dunks thing

Hooray for another LA win. 14-14 from charity stripe is good for the Kbe-meister.
I love the way Lamar has been playing as of late. I think he is averaging around 18pts, 9 rbs and 6 asts for the month. He has had a few borderline triple double game sin there also. Alot of guys have been stepping up for LA lately (ex. Kwame).

Very nice to see Kwame brown back it up finally.
I really want to see the process of overrated>bust>underdog>respected career in him.
http://nbadraft.net/profiles/kwamebrown.htm
Check this out btw, you can see how much he was overrated then when he was compared to KG and was considered a very good shot blocker.
I mean, with his small hands and?
Should that be true, we would not have so many KG trade rumors now.

The athletic part is there tho, I saw him throw down a one-hander in the game highlights. Nost times you lob it up there for him he brings it down hard.
Sun Mar 26, 2006 5:39 am
I don't think he has small hands, it's just that they're plain bad. I remeber reading in When Nothing Else Matters how Jordan made an observation about size of Kwame's hands, but Phil Jackson said that his hands are fine, at least size-wise, problem exists mentally.

He is in fact kicking it up a notch averaging 17.5 ppg, 8.5 rpg and 6.2 apg for this month so far... but that's not it because he's shooting .571% from the field

very cool

Yeah that was huge. Great control for him too, stretching far out with one hand to slam that one home.

The problem with Kwame that I notice si that he rushes his shots too often. Even if its the simplest of moves he rushes also. He just needs to calm down and do what it do.
Sun Mar 26, 2006 11:13 am
The defensive effort by Kwame has been their this season after he came back from that first injury. It's just his execution on offence that lets him down a bit.
Good win for LA! Kobe was actually in the newspaper here thanks to Bogut!

This isnt really Laker related.
I was just snooping around the nightly boxscores and accidentally noticed Kirlenko had a pretty sweet triple double.
15 pts, 14 rbs and 10 blks.
Thats a pretty impressive statline. If only we had guys like that in LA.
Sun Mar 26, 2006 5:31 pm
Accidentally? It's the first thing you see on NBA.com. "Block Party"
But yeah, AK47 getting it done. I hope that one of these days he goes insane and get's a penta-double, or whatever it would be called to get all 5 in double figures. Just imagine that though, 12 pts, 14 rebounds, 10 assists, 11 steals, and 10 blocks. It would be one of the greatest individual games of all-time. A quadruple double is the most anyone has got, am I correct?
Sun Mar 26, 2006 5:34 pm
I barely ever check nba.com so I didnt notice it.

On the topic of triple doubles... does the triple double count when the third stat is turnovers?
Sun Mar 26, 2006 5:58 pm
I wish. I'd have my fair share of triple doubles... that is... if missed shots count too.
Sun Mar 26, 2006 5:59 pm
No, it must be in the five main statistical categories (points, rebounds, assists, blocks, steals).

Sit wrote:On the topic of triple doubles... does the triple double count when the third stat is turnovers?

are you serious?
Sun Mar 26, 2006 6:01 pm
@Sit
If its important to you then it should count.
To everybody else it doesnt.

- Yeah, just curious. I know that getting 10 or more turnovers is...

But, it's still a stat category on the stat sheet. And yeh... just wasnt sure.. but after Andrew and Wikipedia pointed out:
Wiki wrote:A triple-double is a basketball term, defined as an individual performance in a game in which a player accumulates a double digit number total in any three of these categories: points, rebounds, assists, steals, and blocked shots.
