Indeed, was a nice preview and the game was certainly played under playoff atmosphere.

But despite the concerns, this wasn't that big of a let down game. It was only lost on a couple last possession mistakes and kinda fluky plays by the Pacers (that 3pt by West & Turner looking like boss!). Otherwise, the Heat could have stole the game from their court.

Stephenson got kicked out fair. I like how he got into Wades face.

Currently laughing at LeBron for passing and again complaining about the physicality of the game, when he wasn't exactly that soft(Other than the Hibbert elbow he was physical, as he should be). What was his point of mentioning Griffin like he and Griffin are the only two players who get fouled hard in the league. I'm so glad George dunked on him. Good game, good effort.

God I can't wait till they meet up in the playoffs. Gonna be fun.

Also laughed so hard at Nick Young for trying to be like Arenas at the end of the quarter and missing.

Makes me wonder what the Lakers' plan is with all those wingman including Nick Young who's been pretty good.

Right now, replace Kobe by committee, and see if anyone is worth keeping around long-term.

LMA came back and Blazers didn't look all out of sorts for a change.

Still have to polish their play going into the playoffs.

This is probably good time to review our predictions...
2013/14 PREDICTION THREAD
viewtopic.php?f=21&t=93249

I think mine's quite solid.

Most of us had similar prediction on Bobcats which was probably the most common miss. Also it looks like none of us had Blazers nor the Suns making the playoffs. But the Raptors was a nice bright spot for a few of us.

As for the Wolves, benji was spot on how good they are but it looks like their stellar stats didn't translate into win columns. They are 9th and 12th respectively in ORtg and DRtg but yet their record is quite dismal. Perhaps they choked little too much and lost too many close games. Nonetheless was a fun prediction, had my eyes gazed on the Wolves entire season.

Definitely a bit of a relief to see Portland get a couple road wins along with mavs/grizzlies losses to help secure a playoff spot. Not the most difficult schedule down the stretch but they'll need to hit their shots to stay in the top 6.

The Sixers have snapped their losing streak, so until someone has a worse run in the years to come, they'll share that dubious record with the Cavaliers. Condolences to our resident Pistons fans.

Only 1 more game and the Cavs streak would have been out of the limelight. *sigh*

25 point blowout. Craptons.

Yeah, the Pistons looked like they bet a lot of money on Philly to win this one. Worst effort I've seen in a while. But of course it's the Sixers who are the bad ones and building a "losing culture". The truth is, Philly at least plays hard every night. They're losing a lot because they have two NBA-level players on their roster at the moment, but nobody can tell me they're losing intentionally.

Good win and even though I'm on board with the tank, I'm just happy for Thad, MCW, Brett Brown and the rest of the guys. Losing so much has to be frustrating, especially when you know you're doing all you can, but the talent disparity is just too big. Maybe all these idiots led by Bill Simmons will shut up at least for a moment now.

Wow. The Pistons not only quickly fell out of playoffs race but they became the part of history, just on the wrong side. Nice.

Agreed. It's one of the reasons I feel the problem of tanking is a bit overblown. Teams blow things up and put themselves in a position where it's highly likely they'll have to weather a tough year, the payoff being that a high Draft pick will aid in their rebuilding plans, but the players themselves are going out there and competing, trying to win. Until it gets to a point where it can proven without a shadow of a doubt that there are teams that intentionally sabotaging themselves on the court to throw games, then it's not as big a deal as it's made out to be.

They were going to lose their pick to Charlotte as the standings stood before with them in the 9th pick. They would've lost out on a pretty good prospect and hope that they don't suck again the following year, when the pick is top 1 protected

Warriors assistant coach Brian Scalabrine will spend rest of the season in the D-League for being better than head coach Mark Jackson.
Mark Jackson got scurred and demoted Scal, he afraid of losing his job.
Mark Jackson will never get out of the first round for what he did.

With that in mind a NBA team should give Reggie Miller a front office job.

The Nets and Knicks are looking strong. The Pacers however have lost a grip on the first place. Kinda surprising because they seemed to be unbeatable in early season. This is only a good news for the Heat fans.

As for the Spurs, their sneaky 18 game winning streak is something to keep eyes on. They're definitely the favorite to finish with the best record this season. And what a timing to be rolling like this, just before the playoffs. Once they lock up first seed, I'm guessing they'll go into a maintenance mode. Boy, do they ever age?

Song about Goran Dragic
http://youtu.be/J7jZdeP6NM8

Update: Translation
As a kid I got up at 3 to watch Steve Nash,

never thought I'd be the one making that much cash,

In America they were first saying Goran Tragic,

all along I believed in my own magic.

Now, in the NBA, they call me the Dragon - zmaj,

- when it awakes inside me, breathing fire, flashing by now!

Goran, Gorane, you're the best playmaker in the NBA,

faster than a bird, dropping three-pointers.

Dragon, Dragone, MVP & All-Star,

I adore and love you,

even though you're from Slovenia.

I fought to get to where I am now,

I feel like I'm living some sort of dream,

Got married and had a son,

Who's your daddy?

And the team is playing like one big family.

But still I do miss the guys from national team,

in Phoenix my Maja sometimes makes me žgance,

because I love everything , everything that is Slovene,

specially the fans who are cheering hellishly.

Now, in nba, they call me the Dragon - zmaj,

- when it awakes inside me, breathing fire, flashing by now!

Goran, Goran ours,

you you you are the best in the world, our basketball player,

faster than a bird, dropping three-pointers.

I love you I'd give you all,

you're really such a great guy, such a catch,

That you're an All-Star knows even Kevin Durant!

Gogi, I love you because like me, you have a soft ć.

We adore you all!

We love you all!

Although we are not countrymen.

Gogiiiiiiiiiiii!

(Dragon, Dragone, Dragon, Dragone Željko, Modrijani take over)

Goran, Gorane, you're the best playmaker in NBA,

faster than a bird, dropping three-pointers.

Dragon, Dragone, MVP & All-Star,

I adore and love you,

even though you're from Slovenia.

Goran, Goran ours,

you you you are the best in the world, our basketball player,

faster than a bird, dropping three-pointers.

I love you I'd give you all,

you're really such a great guy, such a catch,

That you're an All-Star knows even Kevin Durant!

Dragicjecar. Translation= Dragic is the king.

I'm Croatian so I understand the song. It sucks. It isn't funny. You are ruining Dragics reputaion. I appreciate the effort tho.

I didn't even know Dragic was from europe.

Wow, the Mavericks got robbed. Ellis's blocked shot should have been called a goaltending. Jermaine O'neal's no McGee. Then it led Curry to hit a game winning shot. :shake:
