A very nice win streak. 8 in a row by double digits. Finally trio's playing well together.
Sun Dec 12, 2010 5:24 pm
They're on a roll, but the next step will be to beat some of the other top teams in the league. The victory over Utah is the most impressive in the eight game streak followed by the one against the Hawks, but everyone else they've beaten during the streak is under .500. The upcoming games against the Mavericks and the Lakers on Christmas Day will be a good test.
Sun Dec 12, 2010 7:13 pm
They still have to face the best teams , I still don't believe they are that good at this moment.
Sun Dec 12, 2010 7:17 pm
If they can beat the Lakers on Christmas Day, then they're for real.

Good to see people are still looking to a sample size of one to make determinations about anything.
Also grasping for straws instead of being silent in shame after declaring a bunch of strawmen to be proven wrong before their sample size hit a margin of error less than 20%.

So the Heat are your favorites to win this year?
Mon Dec 13, 2010 1:47 am
Heat arena player intros video.
No wonder the Heat have trouble with fans showing up for the games. I doubt Ray Clay could even salvage that monstrosity of a video.
Phil Collins?

Last year's profile pics on NBA.com were worse, this year they at least have jerseys on. I don't get why they don't have normal intros, where they play basketball or smtg, not have fashion shows. Joel was not amused.

Mon Dec 13, 2010 6:07 pm
It will be Lakers vs Heat as the Mavs are at home watching the Finals. Dirk will be season MVP, QMIJ

The way coach Erik Spoelstra's system works is that if a Heat player gets a defensive rebound or steal, he gets to decide what will happen offensively. So the more defensive stops you make, the more control you have over what happens at the other end. There haven't been whispers of players not liking Spoelstra since the new plan has gone into effect.

fuckin hilarious, it is as if these superstars needs to be treated like kids, but hey who's to argue with the results.

Managing huge egos is all part of being an NBA coach, so maybe there's some merit in it.
Wed Dec 15, 2010 12:12 am
Seems like Spoelstra got some advice from Riley.
Play D and letting the players go freely on offense. Showtime Lakers.
Wed Dec 15, 2010 5:39 am
Yup. And been outrebounding the opponents during the winning streak.
Remaining games this year shouldn't pose too much challenge either, in exception of Dallas and Lakers.
Wed 15 vs Cleveland
Fri 17 @ New York
Sat 18 @ Washington
Mon 20 vs Dallas
Thu 23 @ Phoenix
Sat 25 @ LA Lakers
Tue 28 vs New York
Wed 29 @ Houston
Wed Dec 15, 2010 7:17 am
New York is on fire. Wouldn't count them out on the 17th. Should be a really good game.
Fri Dec 17, 2010 7:17 am
so... seems like things are finally coming together. 10 game win streak is a very positive sign.
Fri Dec 17, 2010 9:13 am
But it was heartbreaking to see the streak of winning by more than 10pts coming to an end.
Fri Dec 17, 2010 9:34 am
Heartbreaking? Really?
Fri Dec 17, 2010 11:30 am
Wasn't it

?
Fri Dec 17, 2010 5:43 pm
The winning streak is still alive, isn't it?
Fri Dec 17, 2010 7:57 pm
Quit arguing with the Heat fan Andrew. You know well what they're IQ level is.
Sat Dec 18, 2010 2:18 am
LeBron's welcome in MSG probably is as hostile as the one he got in Cleveland. If they can win, I have hope they can beat the Lakers on Christmas Day.
Sat Dec 18, 2010 10:37 pm
Shadow, i know what YOURs iq level is, it's something like -100!!
I love my team, i knew that they would play like this from the start! GO HEAT!!!
