It's enough to make me sour on him. If they picked him, I'd keep an open mind. It's sounding like Sabonis will be gone by the 14th pick, but I noticed NBADraft.net has the Bulls taking Beasley. He sounds alright, though there seems to be conflicting statements about his defensive prowess. I think they need a shooter who can spread the defense, and it sounds like he's fairly capable in that department.

Some reports says that the bulls narrowed down their choices with these prospects
if there's any truth to that, they should pick Davis if he's still available
His agent said that Jo hasn't ruled out re-signing
Bill Duffy wrote:"Joakim and I speak on a daily basis about his future. There has been zero indication from him that he doesn't wish to return to the Bulls."

If they're going big, Davis does seem like a good prospect. I was thinking about the perimeter, but with Noah's future at least up in the air and Gasol likely to be gone, it makes sense to be looking at bigs.

no need to asterisk it. cowley's articles have been spot on.

my thoughts too. i'd rather they fill their center need via free agency. there are more decent finds for that position vs point guard. but hey if they go big, why not davis
the bulls need to stop drafting one dimensional players, specifically perimeter players who can't play defense. as long as they no have no defensive anchor in the middle, Rose is their PG, and NIko + Dougie are playing big minutes...

So who's on you mind? Biyombo? Mahinmi? Outside of Al Horford, everyone is meh for me... They're either a role player kinda guy or their price are too steep. But who knows? The cap goes $92 million this coming season perhaps they can nab a decent one in the bunch. Same can be said for wingmen.
Thu May 26, 2016 6:10 pm
Biyombo is looking like a pretty good option these days, but I don't think there's any way the Raptors let him go. I'm also still thinking that Whiteside will remain in Miami. Or he'll go elsewhere, after teasing everyone with a promising meeting with the Bulls, which also involves him throwing out the first pitch at a baseball game or something. Horford might actually be a possibility.

Just a guess but I don't think any of the big names are coming here. Not after the shit season and now noah bad mouthing the FO
If they do land someone, it's going to be a role player.
It will be sobering but someone like mahimi, cole aldridge, even dedmon or amir Johnson will do. Biyombo and plumlee would be nice but they may be out of their range.
Tbh I'd rather have gary harris, nurkic, and picks heading into the draft instead of dougie buckets.
You could probably draft a Valentine type and be fine with noah/gasol walking
Instead there are 3 positions to fill using the 14th pick and limited cap. LOL

So. here's a wild rumour:
Rose to the Lakers for Russell.
I mean, I'm all for that trade. Russell and the second overall pick for Rose? Sure! But why would the Lakers ever do it?

Somehow, I don't think so. It's an eye-catching piece, I'll give it that.

Yes. We also want LeBron for Nance and KD-Russ for Clarkson and Randle.
Sat May 28, 2016 12:15 am
haha you're going to make lakers fans heads explode
Sat May 28, 2016 12:47 am
Was Boozer not enough? Leave them alone man... As for the DRose trade rumors, some are saying that the Pacers are willing to give George Hill and their 20th pick for him. I don't buy it though...
Sat May 28, 2016 1:26 am
Yeah, I think the only way Rose leaves is via an expiring contract.

so Philly will be exploring trading Noel and Okafor.
all in for trading Rose or Niko +14th pick for either one
Tue May 31, 2016 9:37 am
Agreed, but it's not magic beans, so would GarPax really go for it?
Cynicism aside, I think they would. Probably.
Wed Jun 01, 2016 3:44 am
i think the bigger question is does Philly do it? Philly has a glut of PF's so does Niko make sense to acquire? Rose may be more realistic as he does fill a need even if he isn't the prototypical pg they are looking for.
tbh whatever deal garpax can come up with, boston can trump it with their combination of high draft picks and young players. is it likely the bulls will have to wait for Ainge to decide what he will do with all those assets and wait for the lakers to finish spending their money before they can make a significant move??
Wed Jun 01, 2016 9:01 am
I think it's more likely that they take Rose. Like you said though, they can get better offers elsewhere, so I'm not getting my hopes up.
Sat Jun 04, 2016 5:08 am
report of Teague for Noel being discussed. one can still hope! Teague is an expriring contract just like Rose
Fri Jun 10, 2016 12:39 am
So... Dwight Howard on a 3yr contract or mahimi on a 2yr contract? Death is not an option
Just looked over the upcoming centers for next year's free agency bonanza and the options are limited.
Fri Jun 10, 2016 7:21 am
What kind of salary are we talking? That is to say, would they be paying Mahinmi as much as Howard is likely to be after? Also, is Noah being retained in that scenario?
My first instinct is to say Howard, because for all his faults, he is still the superior player at the end of the day. His attitude/competitive drive is an issue though, so if Mahinmi was going to be significantly cheaper and Noah was being retained, then that does change things a bit.
Fri Jun 10, 2016 8:50 am
it's under the premise noah and gasol are gone. again this is considering the FA center talent pool next year is relatively thin so maybe slightly overpaying, albeit on a short term contract, an established center is the route to go.
Mahimi 2yrs/40 mil. Dwight Howard 3yrs/68 mil.
