An 8 point win over the Spurs feels pretty good. Thats my joy for the night.

huge win tonight

Lakers got all of 1 minute out of Jim Jackson tonight. All eggs across the statsheet.

Apart from late in the 4th Kob was disappointing....it was all Lamar + role players. Kwame had his best game of season.
Sat Mar 11, 2006 2:25 pm
Bad shooting night for Bryant...but it's better to see good team effort the D from the Lakers

He has had a couple ok games this season. I think he scored like 18 a couple times.

he played some good D, and he grabbed quite a few offensive boards. Usually guys go for boards and then have to hustle back hard but he didnt have to do that since he had good position on the block

Yeah, but right now Kwame's role isnt to score, its just to rebound, defend...latly hes doin pretty good, Duncan was struggling...

Lakers looked great today....my man Luke Walton killed it....definitely the X Factor so to speak....Kwame looked pretty solid as well, as did Smush....Sean Marks looked good in his 72 seconds of action, 1/1 FG, 2pts, 1reb
Sat Mar 11, 2006 6:23 pm
Lakers 100:92 Spurs,nice win
Sat Mar 11, 2006 6:25 pm
Thanks, none of us had realised the Lakers beat the Spurs today.
Sat Mar 11, 2006 6:33 pm
Sean Marks should be on some teams rotation.

The team has just overtaken the Hornets for the seventh place but of course... it's only 1 game difference. And with the Kigns and Rockets making a late push to the playoffs; I just checked the Team schedule.
What hit me was this: LA plays a lot of quality sides. Including the Spurs later this month and the Suns twice in April... which brings me to the final game. New Orleans. And I was just thinking... wat are the chances that that could be a game for a final spot in the playoffs... how damn exciting that would be... (Another scenario... is that Houston plays San Antonio... maybe all three teams could be fighting for a spot in the postseason?)
What do you guys think?
Will it come down to that game against the Hornets on the last day of the regular season?
Sat Mar 11, 2006 10:02 pm
Houston is at a disadvantage with T-Mac out for 5 weeks. The good thing about their remaining schedule is they got a bunch of home games so it shouldnt be too bad. I think they can make a decent run to end the season. Just gotta keep checking the mirror for Sacramento.
NO vs LA decides who may potentially batttle the spurs first round so that should be interesting.

Lakers would have to play like they did today to beat Spurs in a 7 game series.
Sun Mar 12, 2006 7:58 am
What a weird month so far, lose to the Blazers, beat Detroit and the Spurs...
Sun Mar 12, 2006 8:05 am
Cant win them all my friend.

Chris Mihm had a ripper of a game as did Odom and Smush. Those guys really stepped up tongiht. hey dada, wat was up with Kobe? And ray Allen had a sexy boxscore for the Sonics.
Mon Mar 13, 2006 9:22 am
Kobe sucked serious ass today.
2-13 from 3-point range, 8-29 overall.
Oh well, life goes on.
Lakers- 113
Sonics- 120
Edit: Chris Mihm picked up an injury late in the game (ankle maybe), dont know how bad it was though.
Mon Mar 13, 2006 9:38 am
^^ he's a decent player but sorta inconsistent... well, I'm hoping Kwame has actually thought bout whether he's gonna play or not afte rbeing benched. If mihm takes tiem off, Kwame better fuckin step up.
Mon Mar 13, 2006 9:49 am
Couldnt they put Kwame at C then bump up Odom up to PF?
Mon Mar 13, 2006 9:52 am
Well, they are still experimenting with Odom and it seems that they are very intent on keep him at the 3 and being the facilitator... although I would like to see:
C: Mihm
PF: Kwame
SF: George
G: Kobe
G: Odom
And if Mihm is injured, replace him with cook and switch Cook and kwame around...

And have Smush as a sixth man
However, it probably wouldn't work
Mon Mar 13, 2006 9:55 am
Odom PG? Dont think so, is he fast enough to go against guards like TJ Ford, Steve Nash? I'd go..
C. Kwame
PF. Odom
SF. George
SG. Kobe
PG. Parker
Mon Mar 13, 2006 9:57 am
i didnt say at the point... Kobe and him can help eachother out bringing the ball up.
i'd rather see Cook starting tho... in ur lineup, put george back on the bench and put Cook in the 4. Cook can shoot
Mon Mar 13, 2006 10:05 am
Who do they play next?
