I won... again. Magloire's out for 3 bloody months, so I've put him on the IL... I'll try and trade him as soon as I can, also considering switching Q-Rich and JJ in the starting lineup. Thankfully I got Okafor thrown in on the Wade/Webber for Randolph/Jefferson trade and he's doin a great job at the moment.

bump

now that the holidays are behind us , but not the hangovers for some, time to resume exchanging pleasantries

i can't believe nick's team is in first- he didn't even set his draft up. and he was complaining about this team at the beginning of the year :x

special props to jackal for finally dropping artest and picking up (out of all people) jerry stackhouse who rewarded him by sitting out the entire week. and your team didn't even hit one single 3pter last week. even darius miles hit one

Yeah, his team was pure luck.. My team is back on track now. Maybe Jackal might be interested in Hill or Finely? :proud:

My team is very weak. I'm fucked up. I don't care, I'm 2nd and 3rd on the other leagues I'm in... (Y) 8-)

I'm being competitive against Nick this week, down 4-5 and I've got 2 guys playing today against his 0. That being said, by the end of the matchup I'll lose 7-1 like everyone else.

Okay.. now tmac is available. You might be able to get a pretty good deal if you have a decent big man who can play centre...

i just nabbed fin for jamison. any thoughts or criticisms? personally, i think matthew got the edge since they have similar numbers across the board except antawn's the better rebounder. but i don't like having 2 guys from the same nba team and finley is the #2 option as opposed to jamison fighting for shots w/arenas & hughes

http://www.dreamwired.com/DreamCoach/DC_Archive/Columns/jgangi_111304_taoroto.php

this is an excellent article for fantasy bball participants. this is applicable to all the fantasy leagues. i thought it would be fun if we can identify our fantasy types. it may be hard since half of you act like the cat got your tongue (remember guys- the league could be a little competitive but the trash talking is all done in fun)

I think Matthew got the better of the deal :D

Let me try to identify each player:

The Schemer: Myself! lol..

The Imbecile: Oh this could be a few people, I'll go with either Jackal or Fgrep. Fgrep becuase his team is at the bottom, or Jackal becuase he drafted yao and hasnt really replaced artest yet..

The Paranoid: Luckily we dont have any of these guys..

The Do-gooder: Nick/ Tales, you both may share this coveted award

The Pimp: This is a hard one.. i give advice but nothing that hurts my team. Andrew shall recieve this award.

The Saboteur: This is jae, NO QUESTION .

The Master: I hate to say this, but airgordon, Nick, he's the master of all this. Damnit.. :P

You guys post your selections :proud:

That's a cool article, I don't really know what I'd be... I'm definitely not the master, or any of the others. I just make trades if I think they'd help, if they don't I'm not particularlay too bothered.

All I can say is that I'm struggling, this is the only fantasy league I'm in that I'm struggling, I've never been last before. I also just can't remember to update for the week on Sunday's, but s'all good.

I just realised, this could be confusing, what i meant was airgordon is my selection for "master".

I don't think anyone in this league could be called the "Master". I mean, Limp's 2nd by a fair margin, and not too far ahead of 3rd and 4th... Nick is completely dominating but he didn't even pre-rank his players so it's a fluke. I think we're all just a step behind being masters (N).

Well you post your selections then :P

I based Limp as master becuase he knows really whats going on, and he's comming 2nd despite having the lowest pick in the draft. I think thats pretty good, and if ak was healthy, he'd be closer to nick than he is now. Plus he talks the most trash and can back it up, so i gotta give him some credit... he was the closest to being a master we have in this league imo

Probably, I don't care enough lol... having the last pick and coming 2nd at the moment is a fair effort though (Y)

I'm looking to trade Q-Rich, Joe Johnson, Elton Brand, Magloire and Jaric so if anyone has offers let me know.

Hey just because i didn't pick my own team... doesn't mean you can take my player picking skillz away from me!

Hehe... yes that's right... i'm dominating... take that. :P

Bloody hell, Nick beat fgrep's team 9-0... all vote to disqualify Nick from the league and hand his points out to the rest of us, say "I" just kidding, bastard.

This week will be interesting, I'm up against limp... in a rematch of the game I so badly choked in. Interesting lineup you have there, with Arenas, Bibby and Finley on the bench... I'm guessing it's due to Yahoo's retarded positioning system.

schemer: tales. based on several possible trade rumors i was hearing. thank goodness those didn't go through

imbecile: i wanted to go with Nick for saying his team sucks in the beginning of the year but he's in first, so he gets a freebie. i'll go with jackal for now. but fgrep's 0-9 performance this past week is vying for this spot

paranoid: i could have my moments of indecisiveness but i ain't scurred!

do gooder: andrew. 'nuff said

pimp: matthew but possibly a schemer in disguise haha . he's an excellent source for fantasy advice

saboteur: i'll guess have to go with Jae as well.

master: no one. i agree with jae, we're a step below from being this... if anyone it's nick since he's in first

myself- i see myself as supreme trash talker part schemer

a new category created: CRICKETS: jowe, stevan, tales and whoever else has been quiet for most the year. you all expressed interest to play, right?

fgrep... that "0" in your team name must stand for "0-9"

it's ok nick's in 1st by a shiteload of games. it's not about who has the best team, it's who has the team that's playing the best when it's playoff time!

anyway, jae- i wanted to start those 3 you mentioned but they all had just 3 games. this could be your week. but then again that's what you thought last time

Hehe yeah I've got a funny feeling this isn't going to go well for me, BUT whoever wins takes 2nd place and ultimately gets more respect than Nick's fluke team

Good luck, but I'm afraid after this you're not gonna be able to walk for a week.

You know, I'm not that dissapointed, this is what I get for not ranking my players, I mean really if I were to have ranked, Kobe and Jamal Crawford would definately not be on my team.

Depends what I get, I like his all-round numbers, but he makes me automatically lose turnovers, and with him and Crawford it's hard to make a stand in FG%.
