Mjd is Hinrich when Hinrich was still usable. Priceless response of he was resetting the shot clock when he missed the dunk

Reality check today

How much is membership?

I reckon it's the same amount as the Relegate Noah to The 2nd Unit fan club only difference is this one's packaged with a Bring Hoiberg Next Year placard (Y)

Looks like Mirotic easily could have been a ROTY if he was a starter. Incredible rookie statistically.

How is his game btw? What's he doing so well?

Re: Chicago Bulls Thread

I think his offensive game is very polished, he has a lot of tools. The finish isn't always there and his shooting percentages aren't outstanding as a result, but the ideas are good. I really like his passing.

Another example of Thibs' rotation blunders fully displayed at the last minutes... Subbing Snell and Noah out when they're spearheading the momentum and with a great encore putting 6 players on the court... what a fucking mess... where's that Hoiberg placard?

On a lighter note... Derrick re-assures that he'll be coming back this season... he sounds (and looks) like a pothead though on that interview...

Re: Chicago Bulls Thread

On the contrary
Rose dropped the its in God's hands comments. And the cherry on top is he doesn't care of bulls management expectation of him returning in 4 to 6 Weeks

It is tiresome to hear these comments...again. I don't expect him back this season. If he does, it will be a major surprise but i'm sure it won't be a westbrook like return . Butler will return before he will

Where's does this hoiberg talk come from? No pro ball coaching experience. Does he run.exquisite offense or defense sets?

When you fuck up your knees so bad you sit almost 3 seasons, you start to fear God and believe some things could be held in the hands of some superior power up there

I'm wondering if he'll be effective as a SG instead of a PG... Continue with the Noah/Gasol high post set plays and let him play a lot of off ball setups... Jimmy still needs to work a lot of things (for example his handles and midrange shooting) to be the franchise guy...

Some ESPN "insider" tweeted that they have interest in him and we all know what the relationship between Thibs and the front office have nowadays ... All I know is his team's doing well as their record suggests... I just mentioned him since he's the only name that's in the rumors so far...

Re: Chicago Bulls Thread

Wed Mar 11, 2015 5:59 am

He can play sg or pg on the condition he forfeits 2/3 of his salary. As long as there's the ambiguous return date, he and his contract will continue to hold this team hostage. At least this time around management didn't dance around on the return date. It's al on him if he's not back in 3weeks

Few and far between are those vintage Rose games. Poor perimeter shooter who didn't attack the basket

I want to see Rose succeed. Believe me. If he can't come back At the least at an all star level and the Bulls can't get rid of his contract, the team is screwed until it is off the books

A healthy rose at least let the fans feel like it was half true they were finals contenders. Now we're back to watching the little engine that could. At least Niko and the eventual butler return will make it worth watching

It would be a shame if Thibs is gone. There isn't a better candidate out there. A coach with no pro experience would suck while Thibs would get hired in a sec if he's terminated

Re: Chicago Bulls Thread

Wed Mar 11, 2015 3:26 pm

I reckon they should consider to revamp Thibs coaching staff if they'll keep him... Get someone who can help him run a reliable offense and player management... I'm not sold on Griffin eventhough he won some games in the summer league... his offensive sets relies too much on outside shooting... I envy Steve Kerr with both Gentry and Adams by his side...

Gsw staff look like geniuses building an offense around top scoring options in curry and Thompson ;)

I have no clue what the assistant coaches do. Maybe they are more involved in the behind the scene things like scouting or player development?? Is it one of them who yells when the shot clock is running down? Lol

Let's not forget one of their most important roles: holding back the head coach so as not to pick up a second technical.

Sup with Your boy, Andrew? He is the least media savy pro athlete there is. Worse than beast mode lynch.

Do you think he is as dumb as he makes himself look? Does he need his marketing team to have scripted note cards to read from? It's embarrassing

Compare and contrast to jimmy buckets. He's talking about beating his projected time out, traveling with the team, etc

Re: Chicago Bulls Thread

Fri Mar 13, 2015 9:30 am

Some better PR people or at least some more coaching in that regard definitely wouldn't go astray. I don't think it's stupidity - I know a lot of people do like to portray him as a drooling moron - my guess is that he's just not particularly charismatic or outgoing, and it comes back to bite him when he called upon to do more than answer a couple of basketball-related questions in halftime and post-game interviews.

Re: Chicago Bulls Thread

Fri Mar 13, 2015 1:11 pm

Rose may be no drooling moron but at this point he's as worse as that phase of Latrell "I've got to feed my family" Sprewell.

Re: Chicago Bulls Thread

Fri Mar 13, 2015 10:46 pm

He could have been coached up before the press conference he knew was happening well ahead of time. He shouldn't have been surprised with any of the questions

He really makes himself an easy target. Sad thing is the local media around are making it easy for him. If he would just say something as simple as "ill be back in 4-6 weeks as projected barring any setbacks during the rehab" they would lay off him.

He probably is working hard to get back on the court but this nonsense makes it easy to continue to doubt him

I agree. Less is more in a situation like this, and there's no need to wax philosophical.

Re: Chicago Bulls Thread

Sat Mar 14, 2015 2:36 pm

Pathetic 3rd quarter and a shitfest 2nd half all in all... That game was ironically mirrored by McDermott's performance... they badly need Taj back Pau and Jo are gassed out and they need some inside presence since it seems they rely everything on the perimeter offensively beside the fact that they got beaten on the boards...

Andrew wrote:I don't think it's stupidity - I know a lot of people do like to portray him as a drooling moron

Was reminded of that discussion when I read this piece from a link in the recent Oden thread...
When people suffering from a condition such as depression experience acute stress, this can affect the composition of their brain. When there's trauma -- incidents of abuse carried from childhood, or even something like, say, the trials of overcoming a potential career-ending injury -- that can compromise cognition.

Kobe Christ.
I'd rather have Rose be a naturally born drooling moron rather than be a drooling moron because of the trauma he experienced, it would be fucking sad if it's the latter.

2 major injuries and now the latest. Mild compared to the other 2. I think it's still the former.

Gibson is a game time decision. Niko has been a force on offense even with his 3pt shooting disappearing as of late. I think Thibs is going to be forced to play him at the 3.

Thibs likes Taj as his 4th qtr closer so someone out of pau, niko, and him is going to lose minutes

As long as he continues to be aggressive, driving inside, and getting to the line it's alright with me... I just hope that the return of Taj will not bring his rhythm to a halt... I'll never be surprised though if Taj will be relegated as a facilitator if he continues producing...

Thibs likes Taj as his 4th qtr closer so someone out of pau, niko, and him is going to lose minutes

Perhaps when all of these minutes restrictions were lifted they should get Pau rested/play minimal minutes... Jimmy will be back by the end of the week/next week they should consider to do that on either Dunleavy, Hinrich or Brooks also ...

As I've said earlier, they should continue with this Noah-centric playset even if everyone's back in the line-up because it eliminates iso plays and making everybody more dynamic...

Re: Chicago Bulls Thread

Sun Mar 22, 2015 1:00 am

I'll admit I was a little pessimistic about running the offense through Noah again. Actually I still am. Noah did put up big assist numbers but the bulls offense was borderline anorexic. Come playoff time the wiz shut it down by zoning off of Noah whenever he had the ball

At least this time around there are more scorers on the roster. It is a nice change to see the ball movement return

Niko surprisingly has a well rounded game. It will be a big challenge for Thibs to find minutes for everyone. Pau should probably see a minutes decrease but Thibs hasn't had an opportunity to settle on his money lineup yet.
