I don't know if it's just a coincidence but most of the great games that Jimmy played this year is at those times Derrick is not at the floor... perhaps this unfortunate incident is a blessing in disguise for him and we will see him play without holding back and will unleash his full potential in the process... Nate Rob's still in the wire right? Perhaps it's time to re-acquire him since Hinrich is Mr. day-to-day at the moment...

Maybe an opportunity for Moore?

Noah and Gibson is still with the team, Rose's place is now Jimmy Buckets, Boozer got upgraded to Pau Gasol, they need now a 'Deng' (Snell?) and one player to step again and they're ready to reach ECF at best.

Those were some decent runs. A coaches wet dream. I don't see it happening again. I think the players are growing tired of Thibs grinding regular seasons and mentally I think they are shot. Gasol and his championship pedigree already is questioning Thibs tactics

I suppose I can wait for the official word on what surgery Rose elects for (and let the beat writers do the homework haha) before contemplating what the Bulls should do. It is a shame Rose couldn't even hit his prime before his knees gave out on him.

I'd prefer them to give more minutes to Snell and mcbuckets vs bringing in someone who would take their minutes. Player development should take precedence over a stop gap acquisition

Bulls general manager Gar Forman announced on Friday morning that Derrick Rose is expected to return to the court in 4-6 weeks, and that the team expects the former MVP to play this season.

Rose underwent a meniscectomy Friday morning by team physician Dr. Brian Cole to repair a medial meniscus tear in his right knee. Forman said that Rose's surgery went well and he was able to walk out following the procedure.

Good to know.

Pau's arrival and the return of Derrick made me forget of how well facilitated the Noah-centric offense was... Perhaps we will see the reemergence of the all-star Noah with all these injuries (again)... I'm impressed that they got away with MDJ mostly playing PF on the second half or perhaps it's just that the Wolves don't know how to take advantage of it... Speaking of bigmen, they need to pick up somebody with all these setbacks that Taj is having... Perhaps some undrafted rookie (and not another limping veteran) like that Patric Young guy will accommodate their limited budget...

i agree. good chance for Noah here. wait, i think another back door pass just happened. Is minny just that bad?

don't know who the young guy is but im guessing he less has dust on his bones than Nazr.

bulls were a little out of character by going foul crazy. even Mcbuckets saw some PT.

on a side note, i have never been a fan of Rubio. i think it all started when he refused to work out against the other top prospects in his draft class and then him bitching about now wanting to be drafted on a bad team. i half wanted to root for him since Kahn kept on drafting on pg's but i just couldn't do it.

He's kinda beta Taj Gibson/JJ Hickson based on this scouting report... A high motor and a tenacious defender guy who have a "good enough" post offense...

I've been watching a lot of TWolves games for sometime now and I like what I'm seeing of him... you can't fully rely on his jumpshots but he's a pure point guard who you can pair up with anybody and he'll still get everyone else involve on the offense while being a good team defender (thanks to his lanky frame and quick reflexes) at the same time...

Good news in regards to Rose...well, at least compared to recent years. Hopefully all goes well and he can return in that timeframe.

Ok I remember now. He was that man child on Florida in the tourney. I'm on board with taking a flier.

Yeah Rubio has done ok. I dont doubt his pure point guard skills. He hasn't lived up to the lofty Steve Nash comparisons draft pundits predicted or the hype wagon a few forum members were riding.

I'd easily choose d Schroeder over Rubio

Most welcome to hear an actual timeframe has been announced. Haven't head any "God only knows" or "110%" comments just yet so it is very a good sign. It should be noted the artist formerly known as Ron artest came back from the same procedure in 2 weeks reportedly lol

Ok so let's recap. Derrick Rose situation is well known, Taj Gibson was seen in a walking boot and now, Jimmy Buckets is out for about 3-6 weeks. This is some VooDoo shit going on with this team

The bigger question is who plays more minutes tonite- nazr or doug e fresh? I'm taking nazr on this one

And will the bulls score over 83 points today?

Glad to be wrong on both accounts

Don't know what's up with the wiz and the lull they are going through. I'll take it and a win over their "nene"misis

I'm betting 100 bucks on Westbrook getting his 5th straight triple double tonight. Bulls are weak right now and they don't have that kind of a defense that would stop a guy like Russ filling the stats sheet. But even so, the game can be won.

The legend says if you take that 100 bucks, Doug McD will have 0 pts games forever. Do you really want that man ?

Good stuff. I thought each time the thunder went on their mini runs the Bulls were done. Niko unleashed

No obligatory gasol remarks but I think I will start a bury Hinrich's corpse fan club. Slight signs of life with a few unexpected shots going in. The rest of his game is just nasty. Leave his minutes to Moore please

Re: Chicago Bulls Thread

Finally got the time to watch the Wizards game, along the Thunders, and the only thing that getting on my nerves is their passing too unselfishly where there are times that they should've shot it already but they pass it more instead thus leading to those turnovers.... Anyway, it seems that not only summer league Snell and all-star Noah was activated with all these injuries but also Spanish league Mirotic... I'm glad he's kinda past on the Mr.Pump Fake phase and he's more non-hesitant with his shots while doing a lot of inside drives/getting to the line nowadays... Moore should indeed be playing more and relegate Hinrich to somewhat a "should be fresh for the playoffs" guy... His defense is not bad actually doing a good job against Beal on the Wizards game and then Westbrook on the final minutes on the latter so there's hope that Thibs will give him another shot on the rotation (another unfortunate scenario for McDermott)... Meanwhile, the unsung hero for the time being is Mike "Noah's eyecandy" Dunleavy... The Bulls' wingmen should pattern their off-ball movements to his,,,
