Perhaps we could take some comfort in the fact that they're beating teams they'll actually be facing in the Playoffs, where the mediocre teams and basement dwellers won't be on the schedule.

...nah, probably best they work it out sooner rather than later, and kick those bad habits.

The "trading Gasol is not a bad idea" still stands... Everyone's been saying that this team is missing Dunleavy so why not give McDermott a try? They're back with their stagnant offense and rebounding woes.... I've ran out of people to blame...

Rose?

I don't think any one player is to blame. Again, they're still figuring things out, a key player is still getting back to where he was after two major injuries, and some other players have been injured.

If Wilson Chandler and J.J Hickson is representative of the kind of deal they'd get for Gasol, then I'd much rather they keep him.

On the plus side, Rose is looking a bit more spry.

Not doing that enough. Shooting too many 3's. Missing a lot of 3's

Blame everyone really. Figuring it out shouldn't include giving effort though

Remember Thibs doesn't play rooks. Nikola had a stretch where he defied the odds but Thibs just as quickly put him back on the bench

Maybe the players have had too much of Thibs. They've been through 2 rigorous regular seasons only to flame out in the playoffs

Wow! What a win. As a non-Bulls fan, I think all things are pointing to a right direction. 2nd round exit this year.

A familiar tale. An impressive victory over a team with a winning record, followed by a narrow win over a basement team. At least they did get the W, I suppose.

Glad Tony's shots were falling nowadays... He got the potential to be a great Dunleavy replacement if he'll be consistent with it and improve his ball handling... Speaking of ball handling, Jimmy should improve his also so that he can facilitate more on offense.... meanwhile, it seems that Taj is on the block...

Gibson's name has been connected to much of the league over the last few months, from Los Angeles to Toronto to Phoenix to Detroit to Portland. In recent weeks, he has not played with the type of energy for which he has been known, and there has been speculation that he is frustrated with the addition of Nikola Mirotic and Pau Gasol though his playing time has not changed much. Gibson still has two years and $17.4 million on his deal, which is a problem in moving him.

Re: Chicago Bulls Thread

Mon Feb 09, 2015 8:05 pm

If he is moving on, hopefully they can get something of value for him. He's not irreplaceable or untouchable, but at the same time he's too good to just give away.

Yeh I hope, if ever this one comes into fruition, that it will not turn into a Luol Deng type deal... He should've expected this already though once the management announced that they'll match any offer for Jimmy...

Changing the subject to Mirotic for a moment...what a pass!

What a catch rather... They should develop this kid... Though he doesn't have the immediate Hassan Whiteside-like impact, he got the tools to be a good back-up for Rose with the inevitable departure of Brooks...

Great alley-oop all around.

Re: Chicago Bulls Thread

Interesting read. Seems that's all based on the writers speculation. He didn't even get a quote from Gibson saying he's unhappy

Taj just hasn't been as good this year. Maybe it's the constant ankle injuries.

Snell was good Saturday but shrank during clutch time on Sunday. Missed 2 open 3's late in the game and lucky for him Harris missed the last second putback. That was his box out

The Bulls should have lost against the magic... Gasol has been the scapegoat lately but you have to give him credit for carrying the team. And what's up Orlando not getting vucevic involved more? He destroyed the Bulls last time

It seems their new coach have a hard on for defense and he found something on that Dedmon-O'Quinn tandem...

Happy mjd return. No love from the refs though

First Bulls game I've been to this year. Who would have known it would be the snell show.

Re: Chicago Bulls Thread

Thu Feb 12, 2015 8:59 am

Nice to see Snell having some good outings. As I said before, I don't really have big expectations at this juncture, but if does end up breaking out...hey, no complaints here.

Re: Chicago Bulls Thread

Thu Feb 12, 2015 1:40 pm

Playing like a guy fighting for his job. Still minutes to be had as long as hinrich is out or healthy and the buckets injury

Thibs is such a hardass. Even with the game already decided since mid fourth, he waits until 2 mins left to empty the bench

Knocking his shots, aggressive and held his own against Lebron... with MDJ still recovering and Jimmy needs a rest, summer league Snell is coming back at the right time... Thibs loves these type of players and It'll be more difficult now for McBuckets to crack the rotation even when Hinrich sits out for an extended time... Noah also seems returning to his old self and Rose is more wise with the ball and his shot selections these past 3 games... Same can't be said with Brooks though...

Re: Chicago Bulls Thread

Fri Feb 13, 2015 6:12 pm

Definitely one of Rose's better games this season. That drive at the end of the third quarter was a welcome flashback. Great win to take them into the All-Star break.

I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much with Snell, lest I get burned by these games turning out to be a flash in the pan, but if he can become the solid role player we were hoping he could possibly be when they drafted him, then that's most welcome. This has to be good for his confidence.

Re: Chicago Bulls Thread

Sat Feb 14, 2015 3:43 am

Summer league snell indeed. The spacing was there for rose to drive with snell and mjd there keeping the defense honest. Irving doing the old ole all game helps too lol

I'm not sure if these are high hopes but make 3's and play defense is what I expect out of snell. The local media has been reporting Rose is a big fan and even went out of his way to he needs the playing time

Incidentally jimmy buckets barely left the bench his first few years. Only was until deng got hurt did Thibs start "trusting' him. Maybe this is it for snell

Stop nitpicking a blowout win, PhatG!

Not really nitpicking here man just avoiding to put up the same tirades and complaints from that one game to the other since Andrew prohibits double posting at this forum...

Watching the celebrity game at the moment and realizing that there's hope if DRose reinjures his knees again when I saw that Blake Leeper guy...

That's more about the people in the gaming sections who post "Can you help me? Please respond!" sixteen times in a row, in the space of ten minutes. ;)

Of course  It's just that it seems AG loves his daily dose of my stories about Gasol being comatose...
