^ Hahaha. Good on ya artest, play to jordan's competitive side. How can he turn that down?
Although you'd want a better player than Artest. He sucks these days.
An Jordan would beat artest with artest's eyes open, let alone closed.
Some player should challenge david stern to a game of 1-on-1. Whoever wins, wins the lockout.

Technically, he could suspend said player and win by default. We'll need a Plan B.
Wed Nov 23, 2011 12:39 am
Not during the lockout?

Lolz! World Peace wants a piece of the greatest. WTF has this world come to?
World peace was in jeopardy last season and probably is still out of control.

DeShawn Stevenson
on Billy Hunter:
Stevenson thinks the owners have been slow to recognize how much the players have already conceded in negotiations, but he also points blame at someone else: Billy Hunter, executive director of the players’ former union.
“I felt like we should have decertified in July,” Stevenson said. “I feel like Billy Hunter is doing a horrible job because basically now [the owners] know our hand. The media knows our hand. The owners know our hand.”

I'm still hoping that there will be a season starting at christmas.. Santa Claus please help us
Thu Nov 24, 2011 5:41 pm
It could well happen. I'm not getting my hopes up though.
Thu Nov 24, 2011 11:33 pm
above 50 games is still good.. how about free agency if there will be a deal agreed and will start at christmas day?
Fri Nov 25, 2011 12:22 am
Possibly, but they're cutting it close. An agreement would have to be reached by the weekend for that to be a possibility. The two sides are
meeting, but like Nick I'm not getting my hopes up.
Fri Nov 25, 2011 7:09 am
Opening Day on XMas would be amazing, a miracle, but there's a 5-10 % chance of it happening.
Fri Nov 25, 2011 9:50 am
It'd make a heartwarming Christmas special. Too many grinches involved, though.
For any HIMYM fans around these parts, yes, that doubles as a reference.
Sat Nov 26, 2011 7:46 am
I hope they do a deal so that we can get rookies unlocked in 2K12 on consoles
Sat Nov 26, 2011 7:15 pm
As it seems, there's going to be a 66-game season starting on Christmas Day...
Not a bad thing at all if you ask me...
Sat Nov 26, 2011 7:20 pm
best news i've ever woken up to
Sat Nov 26, 2011 9:35 pm
Somebody owes me a beer for picking a December start date to season. Admittedly I thought it would December 1, just happy to see it starting at all
Sat Nov 26, 2011 9:38 pm
It's still not official don't get overly excited.
Sat Nov 26, 2011 9:43 pm
Its official! They're meeting again!
Sat Nov 26, 2011 9:45 pm
Owners will vote it through with a majority of say 16-13, maybe 15-12 at best. I think at least 60% of players will vote for it. All the Mavs players want to get back on court & defend title, Heat want to win now, same with Spurs & Lakers. You might have guys like Pierce, Garnett & others voting against it, but the Josh Childress', Rashard Lewis', Gilbert Arenas' & Steve Blake's of the World want their overpriced contracts to keep coming in
Sat Nov 26, 2011 10:04 pm
The players who won't agree at the deal are dumb asses.
Sat Nov 26, 2011 10:16 pm
Every player is well within their rights to vote against a 12% decrease in their pay and other restrictions on their playing futures.
Sat Nov 26, 2011 10:53 pm
Exactly. But more will vote for the season to begin now I believe. The owners should do the same. 16-13 or 15-12 sounds weak but if that's what it is in reality then fine as long as we get a season.
Sat Nov 26, 2011 11:13 pm
is it official? I think they will meet again and expected to announce the start of the season after that meeting on tuesday they reach a deal.. 66 game is still a long season though
Sat Nov 26, 2011 11:22 pm
They have a deal in principle. That's still the most promising news of the last few months, at least it seems like the lockout is over. Or as close to it as we've come so far. Fingers crossed.
