Pretty much just a discipline/image thing. Pat Riley instituted a similar policy with the Heat that still stands.
The lowest point total in a game in the shot clock era is 119 (Milwaukee 57, Boston 62 in 1955). However, pre-shot clock the record is 19-18. 49 points is the lowest single team total scored/allowed since the adoption of the shot clock.

Uh huh, pretty sure I got that one right? That 49 points is the lowest single game total any team has scored (or any team has allowed, depending which way you want to look at it).

I wasn't disputing you. I was providing said game's box score.

My mistake.
It certainly makes me feel better about the current Bulls team.

P.S love Mashburn

Ok i got dilema and i wanna know this.
Tell me from 1st to 3rd from tallest player to smallest one
Muggsy Bogues
Earl Boykins
Nate Robinson.
Sun Mar 22, 2009 5:06 am
You have it already. (
5-3, 5-5, 5-9)
And is it really a dilemma? Also, have you heard of Google? It's kinda neat.

For real guys, this thread was supposed to be used for questions that aren't easily searchable on google or websites like 82games and basketball reference.

Why are the Hawks one of the better teams in the league as opposed to the Childressless atrocity they were supposed to be?
Sun Mar 22, 2009 5:50 pm
Someone taught them to shoot and stop turning it over. (21st to 9th, 25th to 6th.)
(And hey, I called the Clippers more than right. Al Thornton is the next Antoine Walker. I just couldn't believe that a 36 win team that got slaughtered in the playoffs would be as good after losing their best player.)
Sun Mar 22, 2009 7:15 pm
It sucks you were right, benji. Seems like they won't stop tanking till the end of season now.
Sun Mar 22, 2009 7:48 pm
I went looking for
the post to see how many I was horribly wrong on like the Warriors and stuff. (We pretty much all overshot the Wizards, and undershot the Nuggets. Although in our defense we didn't know Haywood would miss the season and the Nuggets would get the best offensive point guard in the league.) I said this:
I won't be right, and it's not a prediction (there is absolutely zero way for me to know how teams will screw up their rotation, who will be injured or slump, how the rookies and second year players will change), it's merely a power ranking of where I think the teams stand today.
So when I was wrong, I was actually right!
Oh, and Lamrock is apparently a fool.

why R.Davis was called selfish b1tch by the timberwovles coach by the time when he played there?
Mon Mar 23, 2009 1:44 am
Because he is a selfish bitch?
Mon Mar 23, 2009 4:03 am
Because he threw the ball off the opposing teams rim in an attempt to get his 10th rebound for a triple double?
Mon Mar 23, 2009 5:46 am
wasn't it his own rim? it would be normal shot if it was opponents'?
Mon Mar 23, 2009 5:56 am
How'd you get a rebound if you throw the ball against your own rim?
Mon Mar 23, 2009 6:05 am
Davis was one rebound short of his first career triple-double. In an effort to record that rebound, Davis deliberately missed a shot at his team's own basket

Ricky Davis, then with Cleveland, took matters to the extreme last season when he intentionally missed a shot at the wrong basket, with the idea of getting his own rebound and finishing off the first triple-double of his career.
It didn't work - the NBA has a rule against trying to score for the opposing team. After his attempt, Davis was bear-hugged by an angry Utah player, fined by his own team and roundly condemned for his blatant attempt at personal glory.
NBA ruling thwarts triple-double attempt

And that he's always been a locker room asshole. He's been on like 5 teams now and he shoots way too much. He was never a team player and will never be.

So why everybody signs him ? I would rather put players from high school in my roster instead of him
