We are still the streak killers!

Bulls fans should thank Paul George for initiating the spark that made the Bulls finally improve their teamwork and chemistry this early in the season.

Awesome awesome defense and I like the idea of Hinrich being a decoy so that Rose can have room to operate... so far they're shooting decent in the past games and I hope this game gave a lot of confidence to Rose

Re: Chicago Bulls Thread

Sun Nov 17, 2013 1:32 pm

Amazing. This one wasn't even close. I am guessing CHI had eyes on this match up and wanted to make a statement. They had rested Rose a night before and what better way to jump start the season than knocking off an undefeated team at home. I still think the Bulls are 60+ wins team this season.

As for the Pacers, they probably have a good excuse as this game was obviously going to be the challenging one from the get go, at Chicago on the back end of a back to back.

Not to say there isn't a lot left to prove or that there aren't still things that need to get better, but any time you beat a rival team by double digits and put an end to a respectable winning streak, you can call it a great win in its own right. Encouraging stuff after some shaky performances here in the early going.

Exactly what I was thinking. I don't know where George gets off making a statement like that. "Their success is the Michael Jordan era". What the fuck has this Pacers team ever done? Almost winning doesn't mean shit. Someone needs to remind George that the last time the Bulls played the Pacers in the playoffs the Bulls sent them home in 5 games but that doesn't matter either because we didn't win it all and like I said, almost winning doesn't mean shit. We (I'm D. Hop, I can say that) lost to the Heat in the ECF and so did they, how many games it went is irrelevant. The bottom line is we both fell short.

George needed to be reminded where he stands in this league. He's a top 20, maybe top 10 player, but he's not the next to LBJ as he sometimes seems to think...
This was a Bulls team with the potential to win it all this year.

It was a brash and somewhat silly statement, but trash talk is all part of a heated rivalry. Let him say what he will, as long as the Bulls take care of business on the court.

Re: Chicago Bulls Thread

I don't think it was that bad. We hear much worse regularly anyways. But I can see how the Bulls can take it to the heart.

I like this rivalry though. I think it's an intriguing match up between two teams. Arguably two best defensive anchors on each team, and both can play stifling D.

No, they don't have "probably" have a good excuse... in a general sense. The Pacers cruised to an easy victory Friday and their starters did not play extended minutes. The flight from Indy to Chicago is 30 minutes. The rigors of traveling first class really did them in??!! lol. Plain and simple- they were outplayed by the Bulls

thanks. Shame on Rose for not getting him to say this earlier

So what do we hear worse regularly?

I just wish Psycho T was still on the Pacers. that would be the cherry on the top for this new rivalry

That Andrew must have been jinxing like there is no tomorrow.

I'm happy that the Pacers streak ended but not happy that it was by the hands of the same team that killed our & Nuggets streaks last season.

Their golden era was the Jordan era all right(one can't possible imagine anything better than that), this era is just to kill streaks and stop history from happening.

Good one. Psycho T would have been a nice spice to the rivalry.

Jimmy Butler is week to week with turf toe. It sucks because he looked like he was finally getting comfortable on offense. On the bright side maybe Tony Snell can get some minutes and mature.

Re: Chicago Bulls Thread

Fri Nov 22, 2013 3:54 pm

Seems like the Bulls really miss Butler. The Nuggets are hitting all the jumpshots tonight. On the bright side, Rose's been looking good although there was news that his toe is messed up.

Re: Chicago Bulls Thread

Fri Nov 22, 2013 4:33 pm

Just when I thought Rose will have a great game... again there's a lot of just standing around on offense that's why they had a lot of turnovers and I didn't get why Gibson got ejected? The way I saw it he only asked for the ball...

Re: Chicago Bulls Thread

Not the start to the Circus trip that they needed, but with any luck the challenge will get them to play some better basketball.

What the hell?! It seems they're giving all their energy in the first half and they're all drained in the 2nd for the past 2 games now... and where the hell is Boozer on those final minutes? Seems Rose sprained his right knee by the looks of it... tough road ahead for the Bulls....

Just about the last thing we wanted to see, on top of a tough loss. At least it's not his surgically repaired knee I guess, hopefully the news isn't too bleak after further evaluation.

Actually I think that's more scary...overcompensating on one side of the body after coming back from a major injury to the other side usually leads to another severe injury on the side you are compensating with...fingers crossed for some positive news tmr

Absolutely dumbfounded that Thibs elected to go with Nazr and Gibson over Noah and Boozer in that last offensive possession down just one point. Terrible decision imo and I'm a huge Thibs fan :facepalm2:

All this time seems like Rose was still not confident about his surgically repaired knee that he had to overcompensate with the other knee. So much for all that waiting and sitting out of last season.

To be fair he's also dealing with hamstring issues and a turf toe...seemed completely fine in the preseason too :wall:

that sounds like it could be an explanation for it considering he didnt play last season
