Lakers lost 3 straight

Sun Feb 05, 2006 1:38 pm

After a 130-97 win over the Knicks, the Lakers were supposed to have "easy" wins over the next 3 opponents, but have lost handily.

Pacers 105, Lakers 79
Charlotte 112, Lakers 102
Hornets 106, Lakers 90

you think theyll lose their last 2 games of this road trip? They play at Dallas and at Houston.

Sun Feb 05, 2006 1:39 pm

theyll lose against dallas and win against houston

Sun Feb 05, 2006 1:40 pm

unless kobe drops 62 again

Sun Feb 05, 2006 1:43 pm

I'll say they go 1-1 or 0-2 in those games, most likely defeating Houston if they split the two games in Texas.

Sun Feb 05, 2006 1:43 pm

The world must be coming to an end.

Sun Feb 05, 2006 1:49 pm

Houston is playing better now because they have Yao and T-Mac. The Lakers will be playing without Lamar Odom, so I don't think they will win either of the two games.

Edit:

Did anyone else see Kirk Synder dunk over Von Wafer? Best dunk of the year.

Also, the play by Chris Paul at the end of the quarter, dribbling behind his back twice and making a very tough scoop shot at the buzzer was amazing.

Sun Feb 05, 2006 2:10 pm

they will lose to both teams, im pretty sure

Sun Feb 05, 2006 2:13 pm

Being being the mentally challenged Laker fan I am, I say they are gonna win both games. :)

Kirk Snyder just abused Von Wafer. Jumped over him , Vince Carter like. (Y)

That was something similar to Vince dunking over Weiss during the Olympics

Just caught the highlight on SportsCenter. Surely has to be a top ten candidate at the end of the year.

Sun Feb 05, 2006 5:19 pm

As I said in the Lakers thread, just caught it on SportsCenter. There's no way that's being left off the top ten on the countdown at the end of the year.

Sun Feb 05, 2006 5:22 pm

Damn... another loss. Ah well, I reackon they will just need to look ahead to Dallas, Houston and Memphis and try to finish the road trip at 3-4 and win another at home.

Sun Feb 05, 2006 5:25 pm

Could someone post a video?

Sun Feb 05, 2006 10:21 pm

It's on nba.com in the top 10, watch it there.

I FEEL LIKE WRITING IN CAPS CAUSE THAT DUNK WAS CRAZY AS A *^%)^(y(^* !!!

Sun Feb 05, 2006 10:41 pm

Holy Crap, that dunk was the shiz nit.

Sun Feb 05, 2006 11:23 pm

Those are tough games. But the Lakers did beat Dallas twice surprisingly. I say they go 1-2 , losing to Houston and Memphis.

Mon Feb 06, 2006 1:48 am

Fuck! That was great, and it wasn't a foul

Mon Feb 06, 2006 1:54 am

I saw that on NBA.com, and WOW sick dunk.

Mon Feb 06, 2006 2:11 am

 I saw it on SportsCenter and just again on NBA.com

Mon Feb 06, 2006 2:26 am

Damn!!

I normally dont watch Lakers highlights after they lose but that dunk was crazy nice. (y)

Mon Feb 06, 2006 2:32 am

That wasn't a laker highlight...the guy who got dunked on was laker. I was more impressed by carmelo's dunk on ratliff though..thats a real fucking poster.

If it was any other day I would have cut it off because they lost and were on the receiving end of that play.

So now the Lakers are mired in a horrible losing streak , losing 4 out of 5, and are getting bitchslapped by the best and worst of the NBA. Dallas beating the Lakers is understandable , but Charlotte? And these games haven't even been close at all. I guess the Kobe MVP sig has got to go , ever since I put it up it has been bad luck for the Lakers.
