Fisher should have a street named after him like "Derek Fisher Avenue" where everyone drives by easily.

We hit 5000 replies and it wasn't a Bulls fan getting the milestone. :(

Anyway...I'll take a pass on Fisher. He can shoot and he's proven himself to be clutch in the past, but I'd say the Bulls are fairly well off at point guard when everyone's healthy.

No, it wasn't you. 5000 was in the previous page. Lakers fan.
Damn Heat fans and their attention-whoring. Just like LeBron.

air gordon wrote:how the heck did the 76ers lose to the bulls? that's messed up.

Not surprising. When two good defensive teams meet the better offensive team usually wins. No Rose? Noah. He abused the Sixers lack of bigs. It's not like the Sixers have a superstar either to take advantage of Rose's absence. Iguodala is not a 'go to superstar', just like LeBron.
Iggy is excellent as a 3rd or 4th option on offense, 2nd option at best. That's why he was amazing in the Olympics and also why he's amazing now in Collins' 'socialist' offense where he doesn't have to carry the scoring load of the team.

Big game against the Magic tonight, Rose is planning on returning in the home game versus the Raptors. Lets just hope the Bulls don't play the way they did against the Blazers and throw up a lot of threes.

WOW!~ Thats what I call defence.

Although I wanted to point out that the Bulls are the Best defensive team in the league, I couldnt neglect the fact that, the Magic played the Heat the night before. Which I believe is the 2nd best defensive team. Thus, it explains why the Magic lost most of their energy coming into the game.

I couldnt blame Dwight in this game. The schedule is just crazy! The management didnt do their job arranging it properly. There is no escape playing Miami and Chicago multiple times, since Orlando is in the east. However, playing against a much lesser team could have gave the Magic time to breath.

In conclusion, thats the best blowout this season and I'm glad the Bulls did it! OH YEAH!~ Image

John Lucas was the hero again sparking the outside game, while Boozer did his thing inside. I think when Rose comes back they should try bringing Lucas in as a duel guard system. He could be a good choice for getting his own shot if he's shooting well during games.

Orlando management didn't arrange the schedule, the NBA league office did.
Orlando or any team have no say in it unless a team requests the league for special reasons like what Sixers management did so that they faced the Warriors for the 50th anniversary of Wilt's 100-point game.

That's just a flat out embarrassing loss for the Magic. I can certainly live with the result, though.

Well not many comments for the game, just that the defensive job today was unbelievable!! Least points conceded in regular season by the Bulls ever, and if they play like this in D on the playoffs, every opposition is going to have serious problems!

Silly interweb, not allowing my post to go through. And it was a good one too! What a silly time we live in.

Anyways, Tom Thibodeau was also the fastest coach to 100 winsin league history, which is nice. Derrick Rose is supposed to be back tomorrow against the Raptors, which is good. Shouldn't be any real pressure on him to play big minutes. The schedule softens up a bit over the next couple of weeks. Not so many back-to-backs, which is good news for a team carrying this many injuries into the post-season.

But they did that in the last playoffs until this man showed up and shut down the Bulls main offense.
Defense isn't the concern, it's the offense.

Bulls just ran all over the Raptors in the fourth quarter on the way to the win. Good game by the bench.

It was going to look like another bad game the Bulls should of won, but they turned it on in the forth and got the win. I hope they take advantage of the two day rest before facing the Raptors again. They surely deserve it in terms of well they're doing this season, had a big first half schedule and now have a more lenient second half.

Lol. I am surprised still. Philly put a whooping on the bills with rose playing 2 games back. Normally athletic forwards like iggy and Thad young give them fits. It was a miracle that Noah canned a few jumpers

Thibbs getting to 100 wins ona record pace is quite an accomplishment. Or maybe thats a relection of how bad vinny del negro is as a coach lol

So...at this point, how does everyone rate the Bulls' chances of winning it all this year?

I have to admit that right now, I still see the Heat coming out of the East. I think the Bulls are capable of putting up a better fight than last year and perhaps it goes six or seven, but I feel that a deficiency/weak link is going to prevent them from going any further this year. Even if they did get past the Heat, the team coming out of the West isn't likely to be a cakewalk.

Having said that, I'd be lying if I said there wasn't a part of me that thought it might be possible, that there's an outside shot at the very least. They've been keeping it together despite the injuries, they've got some talent on the roster and if they keep winning they could very well end up holding onto the best record in the league again and thus homecourt advantage throughout the Playoffs. I won't fanboyishly proclaim them to be favourites and there are still plenty of question marks but if everything goes right, if the team finds itself in the best case scenario...well, maybe it's not so far fetched. They've earned their place in the discussion if nothing else.

I'd say at this point, the only way I see them beating the Heat, is getting home court advantage, and dominating inside while out hustling the Heat in every aspect. The crowd has to be all in too, because in the last game against the Heat, it was an all in game where everyone grouped together and took it to the Heat. I can't see the Bulls losing to anyone else to be honest in a seven game series. Although they haven't faced the Thunder yet, or the "new" Knicks team. So it will be interesting... and they have to be 100% healthy or they won't make it anywhere...

To beat the Heat - and indeed whoever comes out of the West as well - they can't afford to go cold in the fourth quarter. There were some games in the ECF last year where they definitely had a chance to win, but LeBron did a great job defending Rose and no one else had anything going offensively. Defensively I believe they can hold their own against anyone in a seven game series, but they're not going to get the job done unless they can pin them down and outscore them. Defense wins championships, but you still need to put points up on the board.

Meanwhile, Rasual Butler has been cut by the Raptors and is looking to sign on with a contender, with the Bulls apparently being one of his preferred destinations. It didn't really work out so well last year because he was out of the rotation and as such scarcely used, but it couldn't hurt to bring him on board again.

On the idea that when LeBron shut down Rose, that's when the team can step up. It seemed like when the season started that the Bulls seemed to aim for getting a more team effort in. The injuries this season have forced the Bulls to unite and find other people to step up, and hopefully they combine it with a team at 100%.

Face it Bulls fans, going past the Heat depends on the Bulls' post play, which happens to be the Heat's weakness.
That means Carlos Boozer is your savior lololol. Also Noah.
