Ron Artest on JaVale McGee: "I don't think he watches tape. I think he plays video games & I think he could possibly have an Atari."

I hope all you guys are watching the celtics/Knicks game.

Amar'e is putting up a clinic against the C's... 10/13 for 23 points, and the first half ain't over yet
Thu Dec 16, 2010 11:29 am

Impressive! Many will consider NYK a real deal if they take this one!

Sick reverse dunk by Gallinari. That's going in the Dunk Thread as soon as a video goes up.
Thu Dec 16, 2010 11:51 am
terrible dunk
IMO Knicks will prove themselves if they win tonight (impossible!) and win Friday (improbable)

Celtics are taking their lumps in this one. KG's rolled an ankle and Big Baby just took a hard fall.

What a game. My heart is pounding right through my chest.

"GTF off me Nate"
what a great game

What a finish! Great shots by Pierce and Amar'e, unfortunately for the Knicks the three was without question after the buzzer.
Thu Dec 16, 2010 1:01 pm
I knew it didn't count as soon as he shot it, so I didn't even get excited. It should've been a lob to the basket to Chandler and use Amar'e as a decoy of some sort. Good game, a loss is a loss no matter if it's by 2 or 20. My heart is at my stomach though. Now moving on to the Heat on friday.
Amar'e has 30 points in 9 straight games now.

Amare is a boss. Can't wait to see the Heat game, and see the Heat's 10 game winning streak crumble

That was sooo funny. Nate was jumping up and down on Pierce and Pierce just kept running, celebrating and Nate fell to the ground in style.

Mavs sure know how to blow a big lead.

Jennings wrote this on his Facebook page :
Aye ya'll did Ginobili Travel??? Shout to my teammates way to fight man.
First, he pushes off Mbah a Moute and then takes 4 steps.

Couldn't have the Bucks complained about that? It was a last shot and I think is subject for a replay review.
Or does the rule only apply if the shot was released on time or not and not applicable to anything before the shot release?
Thu Dec 16, 2010 9:51 pm
You're pretending there aren't different rules for different players. Also, a ref was standing right there, making it valid.
I like how they show four replays, but only one is from an angle where you could see it.

The issue is whether the two steps before the hop are counted during his dribble. Similar to LeBron James "crab dribble." I think most players are already planted when they start their step back or hop step, but Manu took two steps after the ball was in his hand, plus the hop. I would call that travelling.

Even without Rondo tonight, i still see some how the celtics winning. Watch out for Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett tonight.

after they way ATL played the other night, that wouldn't be a surprise at all.

They did indeed win, but the Hawks had their moments. Jeff Teague might be someone to keep an eye on, he looked fearless on some forays to the basket with three dunks in the first half alone.
Tough break for the Nuggets, that's two days in a row a team has had their heart broken at the buzzer. It was the right call given the way charges are called these days and kudos to Ginobili for doing one of the things he does best in drawing an offensive foul, but it's a real shame for Melo and the Nuggets that it came down to that. So close and yet so far on a fantastic finish.

Yeah, Jeff Teague was awesome, i've always liked him as a player. Zaza got tangled up there with Glen Davis, I don't know what Davis was thinking grabbing onto Za like that. Good thing Pachulia backed off otherwise it might have been a double technical, i don't know why but Zaza has always been one of my favorite players.

Joel with 5 blocks against the Cavaliers, more importantly, all in the fourth quarter and 4 of them in a stretch of 2.08.

it's weird to see garnett high-fiving erden because that's usually the type of player he taunts and talks trash to.
