I wouldn't say that, but it's placing a bit too much stock in character and the notion of sportsmanship. I'm all for sportsmanship and professionalism, but the occasional gloating and whatnot doesn't outweigh what LeBron can do on the court.

i just had a vision.
Lakers lose in nba finals.
kobe throws a tantrum, so the lakers dont resign any of their free agents.... fish, brown benga, powell, mustache, farmar.... (maybe some sign and trades to get rid of a constantly injured frontcourt player or 2 to make cap space)
Bron signs with the Lakers. plays point. kobe and lebron dominate the nba for like 7 years, kobe turns team over to lebron when he retires with like 10 rings.
i need to lay off the drugs.... hmmmmm.
Sun May 16, 2010 4:50 pm
That's worse than the Hawks one. The Lakers have $80 million in salaries committed for the next couple years.

As it shows my avatar and signature, LeBron and his elbow should be at Olin Gençlik. If he says no, he should go to Euroleague to be a king that he defeates all the teams like Barcelona, Olympiakos, Xacobeo blu:sens etc.

Not even being sarcastic, but remember like two years ago when this was actually a faux rumor? NBA stars fleeing the NBA to Olympiakos for the big $$$?
Mon May 17, 2010 7:00 am
Well LeBron certainly has enough cash.
Mon May 17, 2010 8:48 am
lol lebron on the lakers is funny. kobe could not handle playing with shaq a player who does not even handle the ball. kobe and lebron would probably bring on World war 3

Indeed, fuelled by a couple of "I wouldn't rule it out" remarks and a handful of players opting for Europe.

Interesting, though at this point I'd still pick the Cavs to re-sign him.

this guy must be loving all this. he should twitter every day that he wants to play for a different team. then watch as every day the media changes the story based on his last tweet. "lebron tweets he wants to play for the grizzlies"
Tue May 18, 2010 5:37 am
Damn, that shit would mess up my mind too, if I was LeBron.
Tue May 18, 2010 10:55 am
I still have my doubts about that story. That's a newsworthy scandal and yet no one is picking it up or has ever mentioned anything about Gloria James and Eric Goodwin before. As the coverage of Tiger Woods' personal life demonstrates, these things aren't kept quiet.

It was for a number of years, as it has been for many other high profile athletes, stars and politicians.
It's just when it breaks with proof that the feeding frenzy begins.

Fair call. Still, it seems to suggest that there isn't the irrefutable proof that blogger seems confident that he has.

IF LeBron returns they may not want to sleep on Sebastian Telfair. He is a guy that could be dangerous if you have a good offensive coach. He is probably the best combo pg on their team. The guy can handle the ball better than Mo Williams, he can dish nice passes, he can attack the rim better than Mo Williams, He is stronger than Mo Williams, and he is definitely faster and quicker than Mo williams. He is just not so good with possessions and could work on his jumpshot but that isnt anything a good offensive coach couldnt fix.

Good one.

He's been in the league six years and not improved what makes you think that all he needs is a "good offensive coach"?

You seem to have no respect for players unless they are efficient statistically. I happen to feel sometimes its necessary to try new things just to see what you could get out of it. You never know. I cant defend him based off of his stats and how his career has gone so far and youre right his career hasnt gone well but let's just say I go by quote called "Impossible is nothing."

Pretending respect matters at all: I have no respect for any players. I don't know them so I can't know whether to respect them or not.

Telfair has played over 9000 minutes in the NBA, he has started 181 games. He is established. He will not suddenly become a superstar, or even a useful player, because you found some magical "offensive coach" lying around somewhere.
Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results is one definition of insanity.
How much does a guy have to prove to you he sucks before you won't keep thinking "if only we play him enough in the right way he'll be good!" It's like the progressives' fallacy of "central planning will work this time, we finally got the right people in charge!"
Under your logic there's no reason not to go out and get Michael Olowokandi, Maurice Taylor, Antoine Walker, DeShawn Stevenson and Sebastian Telfair, start them and play them all 3000+ minutes. Just because they've been terrible (and not just terrible, but team-killing bad) for almost their entire careers is no reason not to expect them to become superstars this season. After all, we just need the right coach!
Yes, sometimes it is necessary to try new things. But you don't just try new things for the sake of trying new things. You try new things that are expected to
improve the situation, not things that have been proven to be worse than the current situation time and time again but if we just try it one more time it might work.

Not sure if it's a good thing to live your life using quotes from sneaker commercials.
