i think Duncan was even laughing in disbelief on one of the Rose's drives after he fouled him...
the Irving vs Rose matchup will have to wait
Sun Mar 04, 2012 1:25 pm
Bulls vs. 76ers tomorrow, I'll be looking for the Bulls to come out with more energy this time around.

I sat there in disbelief and muttered "Aw, fuck", but the basic sentiment was the same.

Thankfully it was nothing serious but that was a scary moment for sure.
You guys have pretty much already covered the Spurs game, I don't have much else to add. Aside from some sloppiness in letting that lead slip it was a pretty good game to watch, great to see them take care of business on the road against one of the best teams in the league that's been on a tear as of late. Far from a perfect game, but I'm sure we'll all take the win. Good blowout win over the Cavs too, hope they have a better showing against the Sixers this time around.

Nice to see the run continue against the Sixers and Pacers, gaining some measure of revenge for the previous losses. Back atop the league.
Wed Mar 07, 2012 5:36 am
Damn,Rip's hurt again...
Big win against the Pacers, seems Rose got his little revenge, but Rip's injury is a serious problem for Thibbs to worry about...
Despite Brewer filling his gap more than adequately, it's always great to have in line a great veteran SG,now that the season comes to its final stage...

It sucks to see Rip not be what the Bulls needed him to be, at least there's still some time before the playoffs so he can still be a good piece. The game against the Pacers was a great statement game, along with a nice shot by Scal to finish them off. Those big posters of his face were incredible.
Wed Mar 07, 2012 11:07 am
Rip's had some terrible luck with injuries this year. I still feel he was a solid pickup, when he's been available and healthy he's had his moments. He just can't catch a break health-wise, though he's not alone in that department.

yeah they finally hit a stretch of games vs some good teams (the spurs included). i wasn't sure how the bulls would play coming off a road game the previous nite but they put all the doubts to rest with a dominating effort in 2nd half
i must give kudos to Boozer in that Sixers game. he had some good finishes around the basket in the 4th against the Sixers
and what was up with Korver giving the hot sauce... on defense (??!!!) to Amundson. LOL
The Bulls didn't miss a beat without RIP, again. the injury is reported as a shoulder contusion and mild sprain. day to day. sooner or later this guy has to get healthy and get some minutes in with the starters.

Close call against the Bucks, but a cold blooded shot by Rose to get the victory.
Fri Mar 09, 2012 3:51 am
I just love how Bradley Center resembles more the United Center than the Home Ground of the Bucks..

I was wondering the same thing but this cleared it up.
Milwaukee fans aren't booing their own team. You all need to stop and realize that Milwaukee is about an hour and a half from Chicago. Bucks tickets are a lot cheaper than Bulls so most people there were Chicago fans.

Rip for me is a good pick up for Chicago but i guess if they can utilize him like what he did in Detroit (championship days) where he gets a reggie miller or ray allen play where he comes of a pick, his performance would be maximized... I've watched some bulls games and i still can't see improvement from the one on ones or pick rolls or even back to the basket turn arounds, i feel he's really a set shooter...
And the bulls need that... I guess in a way, he was like a replacement for ben gordon...
Fri Mar 09, 2012 9:56 am
It was indeed a phenomenon and benji's pic of Scalabrine tells us something. Because according to my physics calculation Rose's shot trajectory was 6% off the to the right and the ball was supposed to bounce off the rim with 54.2db noise. But something crazy happened before my eyes the ball went in. I knew
Scalabrine was different.

That game against the Magic wasn't very good. Deng had only 5pts, and the Bulls had a chance in the clutch to have more chances later... At least Boozer had a good game, but they lost so it negates it.
Fri Mar 09, 2012 7:54 pm
For sure, tough loss. They were lucky to be in it at all given how they were overrun 37-22 in the first quarter. Just have to pick themselves up and get back on track, they're yet to lose consecutive games this season so even through injuries and whatnot, they've been very resilient.

i've done this before but even in far away cities there are a growing number of bulls fans at road games. you can hear it on the broadcast. i can't imagine how embarassing it was for pacers fans to be almost outnumbered by bulls fans at a playoff home game LOL

i wouldn't call it lucky. they started playing some defense and Orlando stopped shooting 70%.
so RIP's injury could take up to a month to heal and Deng is saying his wrist is bothering him/he's gonna need some rest. More hot sauce and Chicago's finest Brew time...
Sat Mar 10, 2012 11:24 am
As long as they play efficiently. I have no problem with them helping out, but with the Miami Heat coming into town next week, it would be nice if the Bulls could even that series up with a win.
Sun Mar 11, 2012 1:31 pm
No Deng against the Jazz, but Korver shot the lights out on his way to 26 points while starting in his place. Pretty good game from Boozer too and Rose was Rose, by the looks of things. Still yet to lose back to back, not too shabby.
The Heat game is going to be shown here next week, looking forward to it and hoping they can gain some measure of revenge. Not a good time for Deng's wrist to be acting up, here's hoping he'll be available then.

CHI VS NYK tonight in about 15 mins! CANT WAIT!
Even though I'm obviously pulling for the Bulls I kind of want Melo to play better so the Knicks fans would stop blaming him for them sucking.
Tue Mar 13, 2012 1:14 pm
That game against the Knicks was a crazy game, Rose was showing off and Taj Gibson had a great night. I'm not really looking forward to the Heat game, but we'll see.
Wed Mar 14, 2012 5:23 am
A win is a win, even though Knicks fought it more than expected. I'm sure though that a healthy Bulls' team could won that way easier.
Now of to Miami. Well, the Heat are playing the Magic today,so I hope that they are going to be a little fatigued,as we still don't know how complete is the Bulls' squad. What are the expectations from Watson and Deng?? Are they going to make it?
Oh,and a nice highlight from last night as well from Rose
Wed Mar 14, 2012 12:07 pm
Nice dunk, solid win with a couple of key players out. More Rose highlights:
Also, a
fine for criticising the officials. I'm guessing a lot of fans are balking at that because he does get a fair amount of calls and on top of that, he still has a habit of avoiding contact (or at least enough to get the whistle) on some of those amazing contorting layups he pulls off. However, there are times when it seems he's not getting and-one calls or the two free throws that other players often do. It's a bit uncharacteristic for him to speak out like that but hey, it's got to get to you after a while.
Wed Mar 14, 2012 12:19 pm
Not sure if this one was really a fine-worthy comment. The NBA really is being a sensitive bitch whenever somebody faults a refereeing these days. They should be fining youtubers and us as well.
Wed Mar 14, 2012 12:26 pm
I'm sure they would if they could.
