Re: well, the cavs are out, where will LeBron be in 2011?

But then again .. it's LeBron.

Exactly. There's no way he could play alongside Wade in Miami. I mean, LeBron's the reigning back-to-back MVP. Why would he go play second fiddle to Wade on the Heat? I know LeBron's all about winning (from what we hear), but I don't see that being a good situation for him. Miami is Wade's team. Now I wouldn't mind seeing James sign with the Clippers though. Think about it: Baron Davis, Eric Gordon, LeBron James, Blake Griffin, and Chris Kaman. That's a really nice starting five, and with some solid role players (I wish they kept Steve Blake and Drew Gooden) they could be a serious contender out West. Don't get me wrong though, because there's no way that they could get past the Lakers in their first year together. Maybe in a season or two, with some sort of trade or signing that would improve their bench.

If LeBron wants to be one of the G.O.A.T., he has to stay in Cleveland. Why? Because he has to be the best player on the team if/when he wins a championship. If he goes to Miami, well, he won't be the one leading the team.

I think Lebron is going to sign with the Cleveland Browns just like in that State Farm commercial

are you serious? anywhere lebron goes lebron will be leading the team. the only other player in the nba with a chance to over rule him is kobe.

Alright I'm calling it now, LeBron's gonna sign with the Heat. And I'm going to jizz in my pants.

If he signs with Miami, do you think they'll just give him leadership just because he's LeBron? No, D-Wade has been with the franchise all his career, and he's the one who's led the team the past few years. Plus, winning a ring without another superstar on your team is better than winning a ring with 1 or 2 superstars.

Kobe has done both. Everyone thought he couldn't win a ring without Shaq, so what did he do? He won 2 rings without Shaq, and now people view him as one of the G.O.A.T.This is the part where you say something about Ron Artest saving his ass.

Still hasn't won a ring without a star big man. Image

Yes. 2 time mvp versus a guy who would've bolted had bosh not done him a solid. If lebron goes to Miami, he becomes the man. Period.

By the way, why is everyone acting like kobe did it alone? Pau, Artest, Odom are all active pieces that almost any team would take...well maybe not artest. But kobe didnt win 2 by himself. If anything, Pau did more for him than Shaq did. Kobe is not one of the G.O.A.T based on finals performances (6-24 in a game 7 amirite?).

Right now, I'll have to stick with my first page pick. Cleveland.

From elsewhere:
July 8th, 2010

7/8/10

What's missing?

9.

C-h-i-c-a-g-o = 7...nope.
N-e-w Y-o-r-k = 7...sorry.
M-i-a-m-i = 5...no chance.
N-e-w J-e-r-s-e-y = 9...but srsly? No.

C-L-E-V-E-L-A-N-D = 9

Not enough proof?

C-A-V-A-L-I-E-R-S = 9

Werd...it's a sign.

Sign rhymes with 9.

He's staying. BOOK IT.

That's just stupid. Now, if we turn to Wingdings...

Look what happens when you spell out 7/8/2010 in Wingdings 3:

Image

Don't you see? With so many teams vying for his services, he's being pulled in many directions but ultimately he's staying put (the down arrow). The clincher? LeBron spelled out in the original Wingdings.

Image

It would make him sad to go the former team of Michael Jordan, but he's OK to stay in Cleveland...which is represented by the three boxes, obviously. Oh, and if we spell it out in all caps as LEBRON:

Image

He'd be sad if he leaves but it's OK, Ohio's son (sic) is remaining with the Cavaliers (the flag representing their alternate logo) and that means bad things for the rest of the league.

(Wow. That bullshit worked out better than I thought.)

Re: well, the cavs are out, where will LeBron be in 2011?

Thu Jul 08, 2010 12:35 pm

I don't want to trample on your bullshit, but couldn't OK stand for OKlahoma?

He's going to the Thunder. Durant's extension is actually going to be a sign-and-trade.

Re: well, the cavs are out, where will LeBron be in 2011?

Thu Jul 08, 2010 12:50 pm

Well, I guess it could mean that people are going to be sad when he leaves for Oklahoma, the Cavs raising the white flag and foregoing a sign-and-trade as Ohio's son (sic) leaves leading to a new era of darkness and despair in Cleveland.

Or it could mean that people will be sad as LeBron leaves, but it'll be OK for the fans of the Suns while the Cavaliers are doomed to a new era of darkness and despair.

LeBron apparently flying to Miami for a last minute meeting with Riley tonight.

Re: well, the cavs are out, where will LeBron be in 2011?

Thu Jul 08, 2010 12:55 pm

Ah, so the sun represents Florida...of course...

The plot thickens. That'd make for one hell of an offseason for Miami...on the very first day they can officially sign free agents, no less.

You guys sicken me. All these insinuations that LeBron is an attention whore.

Report: LeBron To Pick Miami Heat

...and become public enemy number one in Ohio. He may never surpass MJ, but he might challenge Art Modell.

Well, the next three plus years of the NBA are going to suck. Nobody's beating that team. (Can we get a wins projection, Benji?)

You want me to project for a team with five players on the roster?

Don't worry about the next three plus years. We get a lockout after next season, especially thanks to this!

Troubling times for the NBA. The Heat's roster outside of Wade was mostly bums to begin with, so I can't imagine the vet minimum guys could be any worse. Can you do the 09-10 Heat with Bron and Bosh?
