Didn't Kobe have like 14 points at half time??? He must've gone ballistic! (Y)

Kobe shot the ball as soon as it was in his hands every single time in the second half. The Clippers really kept it close down to the end and even took the lead with less than a minute left... some really really bad play calling at the end though.

Kobe really needs to get other people involved in the game. Once he started getting double teamed, the 8 point lead or so that the Lakers had quickly vanished and the Clips took it down the wire.

He actually had 10 at halftime and he did go insane because he almost had a triple double with 50 points, 8 rebounds, and 8 assists!

Yes 2 in a row...I still want Crazy Ron.....Lakers should just cut Kwame Brown and start Cook. Kwame is horrible. I hope Turiaf continues to develope in the CBA, so they can call him up and just count the kwame project as a lost cause.

after seeing that video it really reflected upon time... i kinda miss #8 and #34 together. Had they stayed together who knows how many more rings they'd brought to LA. Anyways, it is understandable that Kobe wanted to be #1 and with Shaq on the same team that was kinda hard but if you think about it now Shaq is on decline so Kobe would have become #1 anyways.

If Kobe was on the same team as Shaq they would be the only ones to take shots kobe 40-60 and shaq 15-30 so that it at the most 15 shots for everyone else to take.

Let's see, Kobe went 50-8-8 today against the Clipshow. 40 in the second half. :!:

I don't see Wade complaining bout being "number 02". (We all know he's number 01 most of the time.)

Well Shaq pretty much said Wade was the number 1 when he got there. He had no problem giving up the starring role.

Amen to that. Kwame just knows how to get paid, Lakers need to get rid of that contract he's bearing, he's the team's third highest paid salary behind Kobe and Lamar...it's like 7 million or so... :x

Shoots 41 times and still gets 8 assists... How'd that happen? I missed these last 2 games... it seems he always does great whenever I don't watch their games...

He had to do it. If he didn't, his aging would be even more exposed. Have you seen him lately? We are witnesses to the Jerome James period of Shaquille O'Neal.

The discussion isn't about wether he had to or didn't have to do it. Point trying to be made (and clearly has been made) is that he DID do it.

Sooner or later he would've done it in LA. What's the difference in roles when looking at Kobe & Wade? None.

Simple. He suffers when away from the ball for more than 7 seconds. He is a good passer, it's just that most of teh time his preferred pass is from the right hand to the left.

Lakers win third in a row. Kobe score 4th straight 40 point game. 45 point and 10 boards. Kobe is dominating and most importantly helping them win. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW!

45, 10, 5 is a real good stat line. He did well today.. I was following on Liveupdate from start to finish! Quite boring, I know. Well... maybe if Kobe shoot at 50% then he will be even better! :)

yeah... three game win streak snapped and his 45+ pt streak snapped. Anway, I am really hoping on seeing some more production from his back up! I like Lamar's line of 16, 6 and 5 - he did alright.

I just got back from the Blazer game :D. It was a good game. I have to say I was very suprised with the Blazers. Toward the end the Blazers didn't even bother fouling him and he scored like 4 straight...to get over the 40 mark.

I think that's the type of thing that Phil Jackson doesn't want, Kobe has to pour in 40 pts. just for the team to win.

He said its ok if the team wins but once they lose and Kobe doesnt shoot well... thats the fine line and kobe's not gonna be allowed to score that many points.

One thing which I agree with is the fact that Kobe needs too many shots to get to 40... if he shot at .500, he would be awesome. Jax would no doubt let him score but because of a bad percentage.. I doubt Jax is all that happy about his scoring.
