I suppose they might include him in a sign-and-trade for whoever they're looking to bring in alongside Wade.
Meanwhile, Kevin from thesportsgameguy.com sent me this:

If he did go with the Bulls he will be forever know as the 2nd best bull ever to play. I wonder if his ego can handle that.
Fri May 14, 2010 3:17 pm
You say that like it's guaranteed. At 25 Jordan didn't have any rings either.

I'd say it could. Who knows, he might believe or like to believe he's better than Michael Jordan right now, while being more humble when he talks about the comparisons. I'd say he'd be more turned off by a lack of confidence in his ability to win in Chicago and competing with his contemporaries than competing with the legacy of the Bulls in the 90s.

Now I think about it, should Wade join the Bulls along with Lebron, then I actually might bandwagon with the Bulls once again in the hopes of seeing glimpse of glorious duo MJ and Pippen, of course Wade being the MJ part. But then again, I still prefer Wade remaining as the Heat, to be coupled with Gay and another superstar.

^^That would be sick!!

Can't Rose be the superstar of this team?
Lebron and Wade are great for the team and a dream for a Bulls fan ,but if they don't come ,then what?
Maybe he plays in a very difficult position to be a superstar ,but maybe as Durant in his 3rd year e can make a "bang" and become from a simply great player to a Superstar. His ASG pick may prove that as well.
And along another superstar as well he can make a pretty strong Duo

Would you rather have a Bulls team with Rose win rings or a Bulls team with Rose as the first option, putting up 25/8/5, but the Bulls still being a borderline playoff team? I don't know why people say that LeBron and Rose couldn't coexist too well, Rose is a pretty damn terrific player off the ball, he scores a lot from backdoor cuts and such.

I don't believe that Rose can't exist with LBJ,in fact ,they can team up really well because both of them are unselfish, and Rose will be a better player than now for sure. But I don't like the fact that now that Lebron's season is over ,Rose is seemed to be sth like forgotten and taking a peripheral role on the Bulls squad, because i believe that he, along with the new superstar can make up a great Duo or a trio
The best example of this were the Big Three of Celtics back in 2008.They equally gave to the team ,no one was the more important one(only Pierce, who was the older in the squad and the captain all those years of drought of the Cs, can be considered more important)
I would love to see exactly that

No one's forgetting about Rose. At all. Just think how amazing the team would be if Rose didnt have to carry the team on his back. For once Oskar's right: if D-Rose is the #1 option? For now you're going to be a borderline playoff team at best. he's young and still developing and isnt the same kind of threat that Lebron, Wade, or even Bosh/Boozer are. The best example of a trio you can come up with is from 2 years ago? Not a good comparison because it doesnt involve a PG you're pissed about everyone forgetting (despite they're not) Jesus learn your history.
If we're staying recent: Parker, Ginobili, Duncan is probably the best trio including a point guard i can think of. If the bulls don't pull in Lebron...Think Rose, Wade, and Noah can be threatening? I'd think so if Noah develops a stronger post game.
Historical trios:
Jordan Pippen Rodman
Magic, Worthy, Jabbar
Bird Parish Mchale
Cousy, Russel Havlicek
I'd take any of those setups personally

the Celtics Trio was the one i could recollect at that moment and the most recent one.And also its a great example of making a sub playoff team into a championship one into a year only. The other trios were mostly build with work over some years(The Spurs' one) or the team was already winning Championships when the trio was completed(The Bulls one).
But yes ,you're true in the other ones you posted and they're by far better than the Cs one( I totally forgot them and I was in a hurry so i couldn't think that far and remembered those)

Obviously Rose looks to be an important player for the Bulls for years to come, but you just can't pass up the opportunity to add an established superstar if it presents itself. If LeBron and/or Wade aren't feasible, I think you just go down the list with Bosh, Amar'e and Dirk being your other top options.

sooooo... aside from the whichever coach brings in Lebron James comments...
any preference as to who the bulls should hire as their next coach?
i'd love to have JVG as the next coach. Pax is a fool if he won't even consider him because VAn gundy criticized him during the bulls-cavs series
Fri May 21, 2010 1:18 pm
I wouldn't mind JVG, though I still seem to recall reading something about him not being in any great hurry to return to the sidelines. I suppose Avery Johnson would be my first choice.
Oh, and whichever coach brings in LeBron James...or LeBron James brings in, depending on how you want to look at it.
Fri May 21, 2010 1:42 pm
Sam Cassell!
Fri May 21, 2010 2:27 pm
sam cassell would be pretty good. but he's probably sticking in Washington to mentor John Wall. Otherwise, I'd probably be inclined to echo the Avery Johnson picks.
I actually enjoy JVG on ESPN, so i'm not in any hurry to see him return to coaching, but I think he'd also be a good fit for the Bulls.
But yeah, whoever LeBron wants. He can coach the team himself if he likes.

I go back and forth on that. Sometimes he's highly entertaining, sometimes he's annoying, sometimes he just throws out off-the-wall suggestions to get a reaction with mixed results. I do tend to like him a little more than Mark Jackson though.
Fri May 21, 2010 3:23 pm
everyone shines next to Mark Jackson.
draft thoughts anyone?
I dont think the Bulls are going to grab anyone of use with the 17th pick, so I'd rather it see dealt away with Luol Deng in a sign and trade for Bosh or Lee or somebody.
Fri May 21, 2010 4:34 pm
The Draft takes place before the free agency moratorium ends, so the pick can't be included in any sign-and-trade deals for someone like Bosh or Lee.
Are there any decent swingmen with an outside shot likely to be available at that pick? If so, that's the way I'd go. Otherwise, I guess trade it.

Point number 1 taken with an embarrassed forehead slap.
The Draft Express mock draft has the Bulls picking James Anderson at that pick, who seems to be a high volume scorer and a decent enough defender, which would be handy. But he doesn't quite have the outside consistency. Paul George is possibly a better pick, because he has a better inside outside game. But he's still a couple of years away from being NBA ready.
Fri May 21, 2010 8:18 pm
Saw that earlier. He sounds alright, he's not going to be called upon to carry the team or anything so I wouldn't mind them taking a chance on someone like that.
Sat May 22, 2010 9:07 am
why are they bothering with interviewing Elston Turner?! i'm fairly certain at Del Negro's official firing press conference, Pax/Forman said their next hire will have NBA coaching experience
no draft thoughts other then they should trade their pick for a future first or include it in a hinrich or deng deal. more cap space is more valuable then whoever draftexpress says the 17th pick's nba comparison is

There you go, bringing logic into the equation and holding Paxson/Forman to their word. We just can't do that.
Apparently Avery Johnson is out of consideration for the Hornets job as he's made it known he wants to have control/a lot of influence over basketball operations, which I doubt PaxMan would be willing to give up so the Bulls job is probably out too. I'd still like to see it happen but if there's no chance of it, I'd probably go with Lawrence Frank as my second preference.
Sun May 23, 2010 4:41 am
i wonder if Gar/Pax are just stalling until after the free agency splash before they hire a coach. and maybe the coaching candidates are doing the same?? My guess is D'antoni and the like would have wanted to coach the bulls after they landed the #1 pick 2 years ago
rotoworld says Johnson is going back to the Hawks for a 2nd interview/is the favorite to fill their coaching vacancy...
Sun May 23, 2010 12:57 pm
Yahoo's reporting the same thing, guess he's no longer an option. Fair enough, I'll stick with Lawrence Frank as my second preference.
