Maybe you were thinking of Vince Carter and Mcgrady being cousin in laws?

Fri Jun 13, 2008 6:12 am

They are good friends, but I don´t think they´re related

Fri Jun 13, 2008 6:39 am

mvpshaq32, I know about Carter and McGrady, but I have read something about VC and Jamison being involved also.

ratrac, Maybe..

They both are eachothers' brother in laws if I'm not mistaken. Both married the others' sister.

Atleast that's what I think.

Stephon Marbury and Sebastian Telfair - cousins as well.

Is Darryl Dawkins a draft burst during his time?

What?

Sat Jun 14, 2008 2:39 pm

I mean when a player is pick like we say 2nd Pick in the draft and he didn't do good in his first season like say Darko who is considered a draft bust(dont know the term). Is Darryl Dawkins like him?

Darn my English is bad

Sat Jun 14, 2008 2:54 pm

Oh, okay. That is subjective, and not totally what this thread is for, but I wouldn't call Dawkins a bust. He didn't quite meet some expectations, but he was still a star, and better than the wide majority of other #5 picks.

Here is a question.....

Rajon Rondo seems to always have his headband with the NBA logo upside down. Is there a reason for this, or is it just coincidence?

Mon Jun 16, 2008 6:35 pm

I'm guessing it is some sort of lucky charm, he probably played a game at some point with his headband that way, did really good, hence keeping up the "ritual".

Sounds like a typical athletic superstition to me.

When was the last time (before this year of course, barring another record-breaking meltdown) a team won it all after missing the playoffs the previous year?

Wed Jun 18, 2008 2:31 pm

The Blazers in 1977. They're the only other team to do it so far.

Wed Jun 18, 2008 2:48 pm

75' and 56' Warriors were also shown, at the end of the game, as missing the PO year before.

Wed Jun 18, 2008 2:52 pm

They did indeed. I stand corrected.

Wed Jun 18, 2008 2:58 pm

How do you guys think Rudi Fernandez is gonna be next year?

did the blazers make any major changes to their roster like the celtics did?

Wed Jun 18, 2008 3:40 pm

They brought Maurice Lucas on board after the ABA folded.

Sucky.

You ask a (subjective) question. You get an answer.

Who is the Better defender/ball theft artist: Allen Iverson, Dwyane Wade, or Chris Paul?

Tue Jun 24, 2008 1:42 pm

How regularly do NBA players get paid?

Weekly, fortnightly, annually?

Or a big lump sum at the beginning of their contract?

Tue Jun 24, 2008 2:27 pm

Depends on their contract. Shaq would always go for the lump sum. At one point the vast majority of players got paid every two weeks.
